I guess it's time to join the elite ranks of the no-skill overpowered clasees like paladin, hunter or dk. Please noone say "You're not playing your class right" so on and so on. I, like most of you have 70s or high 60s in each of those other classes mentioned. I love my rogue, but it's just not fun having your *** handed to you time and time again. If yout think about it, noone except a mage should have a huge burst of dps as we do. That's our forte. Now you see paladins and huntards and dks hitting as hard as we do. That's the only thing that is given to our class, to be sneaky and hit hard. When other classes hit as hard as us and are more veratile and more of a utility, what good are we?

Speaking as someone who plays both rets are an absolutely faceroll, no-skill class to play in pvp. And consequently very dull.
Rogues are hundreds of times more fun to kill people as, and you get 12k+ crits on clothies to boot.
edit: Fun story. I have a 39 twink paladin too, a side project i put a lot of cash into. Exorcism is broken at low levels, i think they didn't take into account certain scaling issues with the spell being usable on players. I've seen 1200 crits, which will one-shot low levels who have entered the BG, or simply remove a warlocks pet.

Whenever you're ******** up in PvP it's mostly a gear issue, I've found. Given the right gear I can own completely, but ocassionaly I run into someone who vastly outgears me and it becomes like hitting a brick wall. I don't seem to get healers who have such gear below 80% or 70%, and DPS with this gear generally kill me in three blasts (though I notice the healers more since DPS never get the jump on me).
Also, spec can probably make a huge difference. I swapped from mutilate to shadowdance daggers not too long ago myself. Granted, I've yet to try it out for real in the arenas, but it has turned me from a "I simply don't deal enough damage to get anything down" into a "4K 45 energy Backstab crits on MAIL wearers ftw machine".

I don't get three shot. The only time I get really beat down is by a ret pally that doesn't suck at his class. With all the tools you have as a rogue, you should never get 3 shot.

Rogues were the FOTM class when you played them in S3/S4, and now you're a DK in S5/S6; why am I not surprised?

A. REALLY undergeared (by that I mean not even Naxx gear)

There is no two. Silly Americans, they can't even tell the difference between a letter and a number.
Personally, I miss the old ShS playstyle of control and survivability. Anyway, the few times I logged into WoW on my rogue in the past two weeks I was more than fine in PvP (for the record, I quit pretty much the second I hit 80 and only just returned, so... yeah. I think my best pieces of gear are papercuttersx2), as long as I had a cooldown or two to burn. Maybe your opponents are no better than you and are just playing easymode classes, but your situation would still be vastly improved by improving upon your own skill, rather than throwing in the towel. Especially since we just got a large poison damage buff.

That you're using Blood in PvP is testament to how utterly bad you are.
BTW, I hit like a truck against plate (hit a 4k Mut tonight on a ret pally with no wings).

You hit a really bad paladin.
Keep on playing, you're new to 80 still. I've grinded about 500k honor on my rogue in season 5, i've done more then 5 BG's since I hit 80.
If someone focuses you, you're going to die.
I really don't see how you can call me utterly terrible, when my Rogue gear is better then yours, my daggers are better then yours, I use hunger for blood in PVP too, yet I don't hit for 4k on plate unelss they suck.

I don't notice that I get bursted down any faster than I did in S2 mutilate or S3 when I was HARP.

If you really think you get bursted down just as fast in S2 and S3 you need to play more. Any class will kill you in 3-5 hits, depending on how much they crit you.
I got a better idea. join an arena team, then get back to me.

Edit: BTW, no class has 3-5 shot me yet, and I've been dueling people that got 2k+ this season in my ****** gear.

Zaph, are you honestly telling Theo that he is new to 80 and needs more experience? I'm not sucking Theo's ween here but he can trip and spill more knowledge about rogues than you think you know. Your extensive 'testing' produced an utterly fail tri spec, and you've admitted in this very forum that you can't hit for more than 1100 on plate. I'll be more than happy to post screenies of me dueling a 4/5 val naxx geared pally doing well more than that. And I'm in fairly trash WG rep helm and boots, w/ deadly chest and legs. You've also e-cried about being 3 shot...which just doesn't happen. Unless you don't know how to use a trinket...vanish...cloak...blind...oh yea...all the rogue defensive abilities. Forgot about those, huh? And HFB in pvp is awesome. Even glyphed. Keep it up budday. 10 to 1 Theo doesn't even have to warn the DK forums about your ignorance...you've already proved that no doubt.

My gear is leaps and bound better than both of you and I 100-0 dk's, hunter's, rogues, locks, bad ret's, priests, shamans.... oh. warriors.
