Hi, I just got the T8.5 gloves and the 2set bonus looks good but to use them I have to give up the 4set from T7.5 would the -5% on crit damage be a dps loss? Also eventually I would get the 4pc T8.5 and with that the T7.5 2pc bonus will be lost too which I think is the best set bonus for arcane mages, so would the sacrifices be worth it?

Getting 2pc T8 will likely be worth losing 4pc T7. That said, many don't feel that losing 2pc T7 is worth it for what you gain from 4pc T8.
The current approximates is that 4PC T8 will be better for Fire or Frostfire mages, Arcane gets a tiny dps increase from the 4pc.
