So I play an 80 Ret, a (now)71 Mage, and a 7 Rogue.
80 is pretty boring for me, I love leveling.. not gearing. I use her to raid but that's only a few hours a week.
Mage is awesome, but NR is laggy. I like old world content.
So I got the Emblem of Heroism BoA Cloak for my mage when she was in her 30's. It's insanely powerful.
I have finally obtained enough Stone Keeper Shards for another item. My primary choices are either:
Get the leather cloak for my Rogue.
or
Get the dagger, and use my mage's cloak for rogue.
Basically it comes down to this. How massive is the dagger? Is it amazing enough to deal with wearing a caster back piece for 70 levels? lol.

there's a BoA cloak? guess i havent been paying attention... why would you ever wear a caster back piece? really? are you one of those rets that bubble my sap?
Where's the option of "get the dagger and wear a decent cloak"?

I'm assuming the cloak has stats that work for every class, like stamina and crit.
Depending on what spec you want to level with, I'd go for the dagger since wielding a good weapon is often more important for a melee class than having a good cloak.
There is no BoA cloak; the OP means the Tattered Dreadmist Mantle, the shoulders.
Personally, to the OP, I went with two swords first, and by the time I got to 40 I had both daggers too. Now when I hit 50 I can jump into Mutilate with both feet.

yes there is bind on account items. best part is if you get a cloth piece and send it to a leather guy it switches to leather. the items are good from level 1 to 80. you can get them and then send them to your lower level aults.
If you love leveling so much, mind leveling my hunter/druid/priest/warrior/paladin? =D

No one said there wasn't. There are NOT any cloaks, however, especially for the past few weeks or so (the OP said he had a BoA cloak since level 30 on his mage, which is now 71).
No it doesn't. The only items that change are hunter/shaman and warrior/paladin gear; they turn at level 40 when you get the proficiency. And, fun fact, other classes canNOT equip these items pre-40. For a rogue, that hunter piece will always be mail.
Yes, thank you, we're aware of BoAs and how they work. And they are good from 1-79. At 80 you should have many upgrades available that surpass them, as they are only the equivalent of a level 80 blue item.

I meant Shoulders, I apologize. The option basically comes down to: Is the dagger good enough to warrant wearing a caster shoulder piece?
Luckily, the first good shoulders aren't until 20+ so it wouldn't hurt until then lol.
