RIP ObliterateFollow

:( We have lost a dear friend...

However, I'm loving the improved Death Strike now; if I can get the glyph for it (going at the incredibly low price of 150g on my server right now), I see very little reason at all to even use a runic dump.

So far I'm loving this. It's nice having the extra points that I used to have in Frost to play around with; 21 second diseases, Necrosis...Not to mention the potential for a Death Strike that can hit for nearly 125% damage.

Poor Obliterate, I will miss you.

Is the old Death Strike glyph the same as the new one?

I already had it, and tanked with Death Strike anyway. 8k DS heals were awesome. I had a few over 10k with VB up.

I've got the glyph and spec'd imp ds and I've actually yet to test out the damage output on it. I'm trying to figure out a good blood raiding spec. The one thing I did find funny is I can now go 50/0/21 and pick up unholy blight.

im thinking they might have buffed DS a bit too much and nerfed oblit a bit more than needed. yeah, on the one hand it sucked that a baseline skill hit and crit higher than other instant "weapon damage" attacks would (specifically CS and MS in this case) but did they really need to lower it to 80%? id prefer 90% base with a lower % damage gained from the disease bonuses.

but DS for blood is pretty nutso now.

question: If you have zero diseases on the target and death strike are you suppose to get any health back? I haven't gotten any health when I DS with no disease. Working as intended?

I have never gotten anything other than BPres healing when using a non-disease attack. I always assumed it was design.

Death Strike:
Quote:
A deadly attack that deals 75% weapon damage plus 222.75 and heals the Death Knight for an amount based on the damage done and the number of her diseases on the target.

I read that as I'm suppose to get health back if I hit DS, but maybe the multiplier is directly related to the the number of diseases such that zero = 0; 1 disease = something more than 0 and 2 diseases = even more? I've been reading through EJ and the dreaded wow forums but haven't seen anything yet.

**EDIT**So from what I can gather on the main boards...and I die a little every time I visit that place, you get zero healing with no diseases, then there was a lot of back and forth about the percent of healing given with the number of diseases, but the numbers I saw most often were:

0% for 0 diseases
100% for 1 disease
200% for 2 diseases
250% for 3 diseases

Recent hot fix has reduced the DS healing. They're reasoning is that its become a central ability in the rotation and does a **** more damage. Since its position has changed, its been fixed for less healing.
