Is anyone else getting annoyed at how blizzard is now 6 hours late in starting up the realms, and doesn't even know when they will be able to start the realms up?

Welcome to major content patches? Seriously though, this is pretty normal. Honestly, if we are able to play tonight at all (and the servers aren't bugged to high hell), I will consider this patch a success.

You can be annoyed when you show me that 10 million players MMORPG you run flawlessly.

Anyone who works IT understands what Blizzard employees are going through right now. It must be a stressful day, and I'll be the last to complain. :)

Although I'm still playing the F5 game on the main forum to know when it's up ;)

I am excited to play 3.1, but I am not annoyed by the delays. It takes a tremendous amount of effort, time and money to release a patch of this size (I believe their biggest one yet!). Any number of unforeseen issues can pop up, and I'm sure they are doing the very best they can.

If you're just as anxious as the rest of us here, this my advice to you. Run your wares and optimizers so your PC is a speedy and clean, Update your addons so your ready to go. Now, take a deep soothing breath and walk away from the screen. Do that laundry you know you need to do, Finish the dishes, shower for work tomorrow and realize that there is a very good chance that you will not be logging on tonight.
#5REDACTED, Posted: Apr 14 2009 at 4:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You sly retort is just bothersome enough to illicit a direct response. Your single decent premise(at least I assume you meant to imply this though you stated nothing clearly) is that making a patch is difficult enough to make delays so understandable that complaint about them is obviously wrong. However, if the technical issues inherent in implementing a patch are as omnipresent if you would have us all presume, then the simplest of fixes would be to refrain from giving an exact time by which you will declare that the service will be available. My tech department has never taken longer to implement a fix then it has told me, because, if they did not know how long it would be to make a fix to an issue, they told me they did not know when the issue would be fixed.
#6REDACTED, Posted: Apr 14 2009 at 4:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) First, despite the fact i posted immediately after you, please don't presume that I was taking that tone with you. The only poster that my last post was referring to was phoenix. I was OK with the largely friendly tone struck by the other two post.

Looks like I hit a button ;)

Well it seems like Blizzard should hire your tech department. They obviously would be better suited to the task.

Is this your first patch day? I don't think I've seen one that HASN'T taken the servers down all day, despite their optimism.

But I'm on vacation in sunny New Mexico, helping my parents with chores and enjoying better views in my backyard than some have in their entire state. It's awfully hard to get irritated at delays when you've spent the afternoon sitting on the edge of the Rio Grande valley enjoying classic horror literature.

OP, go away.

This forum is not the place for your complaints.

I would appreciate it if you kept them on the main forums here at Alla or preferably on a different web site.

Bye bye.

edit: Especially with the Anchorman Bush League quote as a title. Very let down by the post content.

Frustrated? A little bit. But not so much AT Blizzard. Or not even necessarily WITH Blizzard. I'm sure they all wished they could have gone home hours and hours ago.

Do you know how disastrous it'd be for them to bring it up too early? One little bug could cause so many problems. Like rollbacks. *shivers* Who wants a rollback?
