I’d question the 1point in Imp Judgment and 1point in Benediction? Why?
I’d prefer the 2% increase in incoming heals from the tier 1 talent in Prot. Am I wrong?
I mean – someone smarter than me will figure out the math, but more heals = more mana regen from SA plus it means I live longer at less a cost to the healer’s mana pool. While I’d like cheaper instant casts – I think that I need more heals… (Want/Need)
1/2 Improved Judgment is nice because it lowers the CD just enough to allow a proper 9696 rotation when tanking to maximize threat.
I'd assume the Benediction is just a filler point to get to PoJ.
Bingo :D The real question is, with your gear at 80, do you find you need both points in SA? Or is one of those points better spent in Divine Sacrifice? How often do you bubble in raids as a tank? While it may save your butt, doesn't it drop aggro?
I think they have changed it now so it is a spell used on its own. At least that is how I am reading it. I could see this coming in handy on fights where there is alot of aoe damage incoming. Popping divine sacrifice and divine protection together as a tank could be a godsend for the healer in those tight situations or when your offtanking in a raid. There is quite a bit of potential there for it to be used as a mana battery when your OTing a boss while providing some extra utility.
Oh look, 3/3 Crusade. The difference between 2/2 Imp Judgements and 1/2 IJ + 1/5 Benediction is nonexistent in a raid, but a noticeable loss of DPS while solo.
I hadn't even bothered looking that far down the ret tree. The more I look at it, the more I'm liking it. You'll pump out more DPS than the 5/54/12 spec for sure, but you'll miss out on the little extra healing from Divinity, assuming you even need it.
5% increased healing vs 5% increased crit, plus 6% increase in all damage vs most mobs, not to mention the added threat from the extra damage done.
I think I'll go 0/53/18 lol... Thanks for the input, Ehcks!
