Heya im giving arcane a go, everything seems weird to me (ive always been frost for fire). So i need a good raid rotation. Current stats are 20057 sp, 356hit, 21.3 crit, and 522 haste.

I think the rotation has been posted in other posts with "Arcane" somewhere in the subject on the first page of threads. You can always try ABx3 then MB if it procs, or just throw an ABarr after it. Or just cast Blizzard, or AM the whole time. =P

According to EJ, your basic rotation will be one of these:
1. AB AB ([mbarr] or AB AM) = Arcane Blast, Arcane Blast, if Missile Barrage Procs, Arcane Missiles; if not, Arcane Blast, Arcane Missisles.
2. AB AB AB ([mbarr] or abarr) = Arcane Blast x3, then Missile Barrage if it procs or Arcane Barrage.
It depends on the length of the fight. A shorter fight will use the second one, as it uses more mana but does more damage. A longer fight will use the first, as it still does good damage but uses less mana.
Your hit, as said, is way too high. You need 289 as an arcane mage, assuming NO outside buffs (like a draenei's 1% chance, or misery/improved FF's 3%). In a 25-man raid, you'll only need 183/209 Alliance/Horde (hence Anobix's comment). All that extra hit is worthless. And your SP is obviously wrong.

My SP is 2057. I have no HR gems in my gear, so i think its kinda stock from my gear im wearing. I got Dying curse as one of my trink ATM, which also gives me alot of hr.
The rotation i have found to work was ABx3 , Missiles, A Barage. Rinse and repeat. Regardless of Missile barage proc, i would keep the same rotation. I was doing about 3.4k on dummies with this rotation. And in raid bosses, would max at about 6k dps. Dam what they say is true, this spec is such a mana drain, but so far its better than i imagined. I always looked down on this spec. Now after trying it properly, i found new respects for arcane power.

You don't need to be casting abarr at the end of cycles, it is more of a mana drain now since they nerfed the coefficient.

Arcane is super fun. It's so much more interesting than the others. Brought new life to my mage when I switched. I fought it for a long time, but I am so happy I did it.
My rotation is this: ABx3, MB. If no MB then just AB. Once in a while, if MB doesn't proc, I hit Abarrage to clear the stack and ease up on the mana. Of course, MB always seems to proc at that point, dammit.
That's basically it. The biggest challenge with arcane is mana management. Once you get that down, you're good.

Incidentally, why are you using ABx3 and not ABx4? Purely mana management?

If there was a way to autolock them that would be great. I used to be an admin at a fairly popular FF forum a few years back, and there are just way too many threads to go and manually lock them. If the admins here did that they'd have no time to do anything else.
