Please help improve my pve dps.Follow

#1 Mar 25 2009 at 7:13 PM Rating: Decent
Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my post on how to improve my rogues dps. First i would like to state that i have already searched through the guides on these forums for answers to my questions. However i feel that with how rapidly the game is changing my questions may be best suited for the custom touch.

So without further delay i present my rogue i hope to improve.

At the moment he is pvp mutilate spec. as pvp on this rogue is really all i know.

So my first question would be, What is currently the best spec for a newbie rogue just getting into raiding and instancing. as you can tell i have little to no hit rating. i will be working to improve that aswell. but for now i would like to know what specs work the best. Also i would also like to ask about rotations, i currently have no idea what rotation would be best for the build you will be describing to me. so if you could please include a detailed description on a proper rotation for your build.

I dont have a tree preference as to what i like to play. probably whatever caters to lower gear levels.

Also if you know of any guides on this or other websites for rogue dps please feel free to share them, im always willing to learn as much as i can about my rogue.

thank you very much for your time and have fun in wow.

For specs, I believethis is the current "cookie cutter" mutilate spec.

For the rotation, Akrios has a video explaining it in depth.

You already know about your hit, so, you should be collecting your BoE epics. Also, there are two pieces in Heroic Gun'drak for rogues. Legs, and a ring.

While running heroics you can get the rep for whichever items you need the most. You should check out wowwiki to see the different rep items.

The biggest thing I see, is, you don't have any enchants. That is a huge reason why your dps is lacking. There is no real reason why you shouldn't have some sort of enchants on your gear.

I'm not trying to be rude, but please search through the forums a little more before you ask about specs. I linked that same website yesterday answering the same sort of question you are now. It is only a couple of posts down. People get tired of answering the same questions over and over.

Welcome to the Zam forums and have fun.

Drop the point in vigor for ruthlessness, and only take master poisoner if no one else can provide critical hit buff (e.g Druid). Otherwise take the 3 points out of this and get Turn the Tables.

Master poisoner will most defeniatly be switched with Turn the Tables come 3.1 with the changes to the talent and increased deadly poison apply rate.

This is what I've always, and currently am raiding with:

Yea, I just copy and pasted that from the Compendium. I didn't even look at it.
