Just checking if the new time zones work.

edit: They do.

So now the post time stamp shows the poster's time instead of the reader's? Makes it a bit more difficult to figure out when a post was posted, but I guess it enables us all to laugh at Kali for making a post at 2:30 AM, lolol, get sum lief!

She totally posted at 2:31pm. At least that is what it tells me.

It actually says 12:31 for me, but I'm currently in a different timezone anyway, so it's all confusing and stuff.

So it shows what time the post was posted... in the reader's timezone?

If I make a post at 2:31am and someone from two timezones away (negative), it would show 0:31am on their side?

I thought that's how it was to begin with. It's pretty funny, actually, because it says I made a post on April 13th at 12:33pm and then Horse made a post afterwards at 11:47am... had me thinking time paradox first.

So I was sick for 3 days and missed our normal raid night. Sounds like the MT didn't wake up either. Not that I blame him, I still can't fathom why he wants to wake up at 3am London time to raid with us. Anyway, apparently things didn't go well. They had a tank who had never tanked ICC before, a pally healing for the first time in 6 months, a holy priest who usually plays disco, and a wipefest on Marrowgar... Smiley: disappointed Last week we 1-shotted everything up to Rotface, so I'm kinda bummed.

Sounds like the guy who took over RL from me nerd-raged a little, the priest bit back at him, and to make a long story short we're not raiding until the 5th. Smiley: frown

On the plus side I now have extra time to play my baby warlock. Smiley: nod

Well, it is new to me as HST didn't used to work so I used EST. Which was ok but when the whole daily light saving time thing was confusing.

Plus Alla is being stupid and not using all of the screen. Its all tiny.

So I'm not the only one with a dislike towards these fixed layouts.

It looks ridiculous on my 24" monitor. The actual forum only takes up 1/3 of the screen space. The rest is just... brown.

People use IE?

Weird.

edit: As I side note, I shouldn't have to set the zoom on my browsers to make a site take the whole page. Especially since zoom is typically a global setting and would warp all the other pages I use. All of which use a more dynamic method to set the page size instead of a static method that makes the page insanely small for anyone with a monitor that is larger than a stick of gum.

I am in work IE is a given. Small monitor is too unless you can either get a letter from God to say you need a bigger one or think of some other ergonomic/health and safety related issue that means you need a bigger screen. Second one would probably be the best way as they are more scared of a health and safety related lawsuit than eternal damnation.

Firefox also has the option to zoom.

So does Chrome, but if I zoom in, the text gets all big and weird, like it thinks I'm reading-impaired or something.

Short story made shorter, it doesn't change the ratio, only the size of everything.

Yes!

If nothing else, the ability to shut down each tab as an individual process is winnage.

Shouldn't it be better if you have Premium? The empty space I've got on the side is only right under the, and Moz has a quite large second monitor.

And I just noticed they changed the FFXI skin, too. Yes, I use that. Blue is nice.

Also, lol vocanic ash making air travel impossible. If my flight on Saturday doesn't go (and it looks quite likely), I will totally rebook for next week, sort of fool around in Holland or maybe also Belgium for another week and send college an e-mail stating that I'm stuck in Holland because of a volcano eruption because that would be a pretty awesome e-mail to send.
This plan has nothing to do with Aethien, I swear.

I found a way to send an e-mail about volcano eruptions after all.

Dear mom and dad

The entire country is locked down due to a volcanic eruption on Iceland. Please send food and money for beer. Since you live 30 minutes away, could you drive it down here, like, now?

Sincerely,
your loving son
