Making my random post for the week since I've been crazy busy writing a paper, preparing a presentation and trying to study for my final. This was the week from hell.

Anywho.... Yay watches! Yay raises! Yay lizards! Yay food! Yay boobs! Yay beer!

I think I covered it all...

Haha, my cleaner put my washing on a second time randomly today, I was all like Kyoon? Why? WHY? KYOOOON?

He didn't speak enough English to answer, I think. Either that, or he just did it because he was bored and/or wanted to be nice. He's a nice guy. Smiley: lol

I just took a nap, it was awesome.
Also, I really really really hope we'll get some thunderstorms tonight, it's unpleasantly hot here.

I thought the monsoon had started, but then it didn't.

I do hope that it's gonna start in Lahore before I get there, it's like 8 degrees hotter up there. Smiley: mad

Okay, by the time I get there, according to the weather forecast, it's going to be 15 degrees hotter there. And without electricity most of the time.

I think my mom has been to Lahore, she flew there when she went to India I think. Although I suspect that a lot has changed in the last 25ish years. From looking at Wikipedia it looks absolutely amazing, so take lots and lots of pics! Smiley: smile

I'll try! I still need to get a charger for my camera! And nowadays the visas for Pakistan and India are kinda exclusive of each other. But yeah, kind of an amazing place, more so than Karachi, I think, as far as prettiness goes, and you've seen my Karachi pictures.

Also Islamabad. For a weekend. And Kartarpur. Kartarpur!

I survived the talk, btw. Thanks for your text. Apparently I was "giving a lecture" as someone informed me afterwards. Also, I think they're willing to hire me back next year. And planning to upgrade their equipment (like getting a cloud which is to be used for quantum mechanics, i.e. MY STUFF!), so yaaay.

The problem is that it only gets the stuffy kind of hot here that makes it impossible to sleep.

So, lolgaxe, I was driving past Station Earle earlier today, and noticed one of the streets was called "Armory Rd." Dunno why, but I found it hilarious. Is this typical road naming behavior for military bases?

I've not noticed anything like that, but I'll honestly say it's not really something I pay too close attention to or ask about or anything. The ones I remember are the ones in Jersey. Fort Dix streets were named after cities and states, the ones in Iraq and Afghanistan were whatever common Muslim language that I can't remember at the moment due to either a migraine, or my brain has gained it's own sentience and discovered the things I think about and is trying to escape with the use of high grade chemical explosives, and Hawaii, Fort Shafter were mostly numbered. Though, I'm sure every one of them had an Armory Rd, much like every city seems to have a Broadway.

Are you sure those two girls had ADD, because pretty much every teen girl I've ever known and will probably ever know seems to have ADD and I just kind of thought it was because of the Y chromosome.

They said they did. One of them I was pretty sure she did before she said anything, the other one I didn't know had ADD until I cracked a joke directed at the HR lady when she commented about how crazy the three of us were lol. I was all "Well two of us have ADD, so what do you expect?" And the other girl was all "Make that three," with a big grin on her face. Thankfully, the two girls work in different departments of the store. Not that I wouldn't enjoy working with them, because I totally would. I would just really feel sorry for my manager lol.

Texas is like here, I think. What part of Texas?

Now Lahore... that's like at least 10 centigrade (or about 20 F) hotter.

AND NO AC

Still, Lahore. Smiley: nod

So Æth, you said 25 years ago, were you conceived when your mum was in Lahore? Was fetus you in Lahore?

I just watched Taken again and I'd completely forgotten how awesome it was. Liam Neeson is slowly becoming my favorite badass actor.

And then I found out that Taken 2 is in production. Smiley: yippee

My A/C is supposed to keep my room at 16C, it makes it to 23 if I keep the fan on maximum and keep all windows/doors closed. 25 normally. 25 is nice, though... except when I come out of the shower and the fan blows all the cold air right onto my damp body. Smiley: mad

In other news, due to a tooth infection (what is that even), I'm now on more antibiotics. And damn, antibiotics are cheap here...

Good lord, the rain started pouring down here around noon and we got the occasional lightning, but now it's so damp here, my shirt is clinging to my skin.

Ew.
