What happened Kali?

Also monkeys! monkeys! monkeys! I went to De Apenheul with my sister for her birthday. De Apenheul is a zoo but with only monkeys and a lot of those monkeys roam free throughout parts of the park and they run through the visitors as well so you can get up close and personal with a lot of the smaller monkeys, entertainment for most visitors and sheer terror for some little kids. I think I got some pretty good photos and I didn't get any monkey sh*t or **** on me either.

And my sister and me were wearing very similar clothing. I'm pretty sure that's never happened before, at least not for the last 20 years or so...

Edit: Maz, 4:30 PM, Kali is a couple hours ahead of us.

We both had cheap brown summer shoes (a.k.a shoes that'll be worn out by the end of summer), chinos (although mine is lighter in colour) and I was wearing a blue short sleeved button down shirt while my sister was wearing the exact same colour polo. And we both have long blond hair too. >.>

I'm a little more than 2 years older.

Also, she's taller than me by an inch or two. Smiley: frown

Ugh that sucks Kali! Hope it still goes well.

Well that was a close call. Went in to fill out paperwork for my job this morning, and when I was telling the HR lady about my availability because of the play, we had to go have a chat with the store manager to see if it was a deal breaker. Thankfully, it wasn't but that was kind of scary lol. I told him about the play when we had out interview, and offered to let him look at the schedule, but he said it was fine. So now, I have orientation tomorrow, food handling and safety class Thursday, and Friday I start actually making coffee, yay! And there's another dude starting the same time as me, so I'll probably get to meet him tomorrow. I'm going to go take a nap now. I didn't sleep well last night.

A delivery that took 2 years and 4 months? I don't think so.

NANANANANANANA BATMAN!

I watched The Dark Knight again last night, it was as good as I remembered and now I want to get Arkham City on PS3.

It's going to be a trainwreck.

But Arkham City was a fun game.

Yeah I'll probably go see The Dark Knight Rises aswell.
It's such a shame that Heath Ledger isn't with us anymore.

Just how many Batman films have they made in the past decade? Because it sure feels like they're making a new one every single damn year.

The Nolan ones? 2005, 2008, and 2012.

Yeah, this is only the third one. Maybe you're still remembering the ones from the 90's?

The old ones are awesome.

Well, up until they got silly. The first two... classics!

It may simply be the overload of superhero movies in general. I don't have any real interest in superheros so I'm really rather sick of them by now.

And Lolgaxe, before you start about comics, these are the comics I grew up with. No superheroes, more antiheroes.

Got to love Franquin (The first two comics.)

Asterix is my favourite comic, no question about it.
I also used to read Lucky Luke, Donald Duck, Hägar the Horrible, and some others that I can't remember right now.

I like the silly ones, but I fully admit that they're terrible. My favorite was Batman Forever. I hated Arnold as Mr. Freeze, but Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy was amazing. She carried that movie. If they ever bring Batgirl back, I hope they do a better job of it. I thought Alicia did a good job, but that entire plot line was just stupid.

If you've never read Gaston Lagaffe (The first one I linked) or Last Laughs/Idées Noires (second linked) you should, they're brilliant and in the case of Gaston Lagaffe hilarious and silly, in the case of Last Laughs brutal dark and also hilarious.

The Last Laughs strip I linked had me laughing for a good 10 minutes... Smiley: grin

It's not hard to figure out nor crucial to understand the comic, but it's along the lines of "I could never resist a craving".

Oregon is doin' it right.

I seriously wish I had the cash to go on a trip along the west coast of the states, specifically a tour of as many breweries as possible in Oregon and California but if you're going to Oregon and California you might as well go to Washington too.
