Summer? We've already moved on to autumn out here.

Our spring ended sometime in April. We had a week of hot weather, which was apparently our summer, and now we've moved on to fall as well.

It's 11:47AM on June 17 and it's 16ºC/61ºF outside.

And raining.

Arte your winters that long? It's only June, for crap's sake.
No, our autumn lasts that long.

We've had really nice weather here in the past few days, like 20C and no clouds, but today seems to be a cloudy one.
Oh well, guess I'm just lucky because I have to spend 4 hous in a bus today, and I hate busses and it would be even worse when it's hot.

In Flames, especially the choruses, I'm in love.
St Feuillien makes some nice beers, they also make 9 liter bottles (Yeah, seriously) I think you've got to pay €45 or so in deposit for the bottle though.

Also, check out Brasserie Dupont's Saison and/or Avec Les Bons Voeux, good saison's and the second one is a little stronger on the alcohol as well.

As for In Flames, which album(s)? They've gotten more and more commercial over the years, although I enjoy most of their work.

Sounds horribly familiar. Although it's not raining here, it's just kinda grey.

EDIT: Also, I think I've managed to nudge my little brother in the direction of craft beer. I got him Anderson Valley's Brother David's Triple and he texted me last night saying he really liked it. Smiley: grin

I mostly like Reroute to Remain, Come Clarity and A Sense of Purpose. From the earlier albums I really love some individual songs, but not the albums so much. For example, Bottled might just be my favourite song from them

Clayman > all other albums. Bullet Ride, Pinball Map and Only For The Weak, nuff said.
Clayman and Reroute are their best albums in my opinion, although the only ones I'm no fan of are Lunar Strain and A Sense Of Purpose.

Well damnit, not even Denmark made it through. Smiley: frown

Now who am I going to root for? I can't root for Germany because that'd be akin to betraying my country and the US and Finland aren't competing in this tournament.

That was an uphill battle if I ever saw one. Not only did we have to win or get a tie against the Germans, we also needed you guys to win. I liked the optimism from our commentators, though. Five minutes to go, we needed to score two goals and the commentators were like "Well, it's been done before..."

Wasn't until the last minute they went from "We've got this" to "Okay, we'll win the World Championship."

So you only wear black shoes? Or did you also get a brown band so you can swap it out?

I generally wear black shoes, yeah. I just don't like brown with my coloring (I wear a lot of blues and greys because of my eyes); if I tanned as well as my brother and my father, I would definitely wear brown more often. When I wear brown, I tend to go with a NATO strap (navy/light blue stripes) since brown shoes/belt isn't formal.

PigtailsOfDoom wrote:
Black goes with everything, why would he need to get a brown band to switch out?

Shoes/belt/watch should all match, generally speaking. Black watch band doesn't fit with brown shoes and a brown belt (if we're talking about leather). I don't wear anything but leather belts (and more and more of my shoes are leather), so my watch band generally matches.

Kalivha wrote:
Shoes, belt and watchband should always match... right?

Si. It's not a big deal if you're wearing a NATO strap or a bracelet, but for leather, absolutely.

EDIT: Also, Noc is still hot. Smiley: nod (need a Me Gusta face here)

It's funny because while I generally agree with the whole matching thing, I tend to never really match. Guess I've just been lazy lately that I hadn't really cared. *shrug*

Girls can get away with all sorts of crazy **** as long as they're hot. Also, it's kind of how your priorities are set up. I like being attractive to women, and women generally like a well-dressed guy. I get far more admiring looks when I'm dressed well as opposed to when I just throw on jeans and sneakers and run out of the house for groceries or something.

You already have a fiancé, so you've pretty much already won.

I wish I cared more about my looks. Not caring makes it easier to get dressed in the morning, though. Wake up, throw on whatever hits you as you walk past the closet, put on a hat and go!

Of course, it makes it harder to pick up the ladies, so you have to be gifted with an irresistible charm and good oral skills. If ya know what I mean. I mean being win at conversing. I lack all of it, so I just cruise by unnoticed.

Honestly, that suits me just fine. Being 6' 6" tends to get you a lot of attention for a lot of wrong reasons. And getting laid is still doable, it just requires a bit more work. I often find that the reward is better when you did a lot of hard work to get it. Smiley: sly

Not really, but it keeps my spirit up.

6'6"? Holy crap, you're tall.

I can guarantee you, that if a girl is interested in you, she's not paying attention to what color your ******* watch band is. Just sayin'. Also, I'm kinda tipsy. Went to karaoke tonight and had a friend I went to high school with come out with her hubby. They bought me like four drinks, and I had my first Jaeger bomb which wasn't too bad. But then she got upset because he was spending more time with me and my sister and her friend, than he was with her, and he got upset because she got upset, and it kinda killed my buzz. Thankfully, she wasn't mad at me (or at least she said she wasn't, you never can tell with women, lol), but I understand why she was upset. I'd get ticked off if John left me by myself and hung out with some other chicks for half the night too. Still I don't think she's really very happy with him, and it makes me sad. She confided in me a few months back that she hates him like 30% of the time, but she figured all marriages were like that. Um, no... no they're not. If you hate your husband that often, there's something wrong. I don't hate John ever, even when I'm mad at him. I feel bad for her, because she and I have known each other since we were 6 years old, and I want her to be happy and I don't think she is... Smiley: frown I wish I could help.

Also, I dated a guy who was 6'6" before. I'm only 5'1" so that was weird. I felt like a midget, lol.

I might not be deterred from someone in the first year of the relationship or so by watch bands, but it can be a factor and I totally appreciate when someone can dress well.

That being said, I am currently wearing a silver brooch, silver bangles and gold sandals. But that's because these sandals are my only comfortable shoes that aren't white (and even the white ones have a bit of gold) and my dress is black/yellow/teal. Smiley: mad

I was gonna buy new shoes but then I bought this dress, and a pin and bangles for a reddit charity type thing.

Oh, and dating people over 6' height is weird. It's also weird to suddenly be taller than a load of people, like above average. I think average height for females around here is something like 5' exactly...

Nah, it's more that anything silly can be the tipping point in a mediocre relationship.

If I'm annoyed at someone and I don't like their style to begin with it's just another thing to get annoyed at.

Apparently Cigar City makes a saison with cucumber juice. I'd absolutely love to try that, sounds like it'd go quite well next to some smørrebrød or maybe some light barbeque type food.

It's funny how people think they're superior because they're too insecure to admit to themselves that they are shallow, too.
