Yeah, I habitually wake up at 4:30 here, and I still have my jet lag... Smiley: glare

What we don't do for the sake of Allah. Ahum.

Maz, the Swedish one is seriously weird. The Russian one is hilariously bad. Smiley: lol
But Eurovision sucked for as long as I can remember. Germany had one good guy when TV Total did a "casting show" for it.

I wish I could figure out how to get her to sleep in a few extra hours. I'll have to remember to play with her with the laser pointer. That always tuckers her out good. She must spend all day while she's outside sleeping or something, that's the only thing I can figure.

Hard Rock Hallelujah!

I remember there was some fuss back then that Greece wanted to sue Finland for that.

Aren't cats kinda nocturnal?

Technically, but they also sleep 16 hours a day. So naturally they do sleep some during the daylight hours.

Edit: Also, I <3 De Bierkoning. I got a glass from Anderson Valley for free for being a good customer even though I've only been there a handful of times, to be honest I was kind of surprised the shop attendant even recognized me.

Also, I scored Alesmith Speedway Stout, Lagunitas Hop Stoopid, Green Flash West Coast IPA, 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek, Brouwerij 'T IJ Speciale Vlo and their new IPA (Which has a totally badass label -NSFW-)

You'd be lucky if the cab that just hit you, in plain sight of a cop, even got ticketed.

Crap, I need to not put on a good movie before bed time. I thought The Grey would just be about some dudes trying to survive wolves in the middle of something cold, but unexpectedly the movie digs right into some heavy stuff about coming to terms with one's own impending death. Let me just say that Liam Neeson is a god.

Go watch it if you're into people getting messed up by wolves and reflections on life and death. Warning, though, the movie is brutal when it comes to the death scenes. Not so much the gore (there is some, but not a lot), but more the whole emotional thing that goes on when a person dies. It'll probably make you sad.

Edit: Sweden won the Eurovision Song Contest and Russia got second place. That's it, I want off this planet.

Danish law is a bit retarded when it comes to so-called "soft pedestrians" (cyclists/pedestrians). §101 of our traffic law (highway code?) basically puts the blame on the motorist, unless he can be proven innocent. The pedestrian would have to do something pretty stupid to get the full blame, though, which means the driver is screwed in any case.

If you cross a red light and get hit by a cab here, you'd likely die, but you'd also likely win a lawsuit due to walking in a marked pedestrian area (albeit walking it illegally) and the driver not paying attention to the surroundings.

Law is weird.

Fixed and try some Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin', Bell's Oberon or Southern Tier Hop Sun if you see it, those are in the same style. Alternatively, get a good German Hefeweizen (Weihenstephaner or Paulaner for example) which is where the style of Elder Betty is derived from or a Witbier which is a similar style but from Belgium and made with orange peels and coriander (Think Allagash White, Hoegaarden, St Bernardus Witbier, Dogfishhead's Namaste) so it's a bit more sweet and fruity and just about the perfect summer beer.

Edit: Elderberry beer gets you something like this which is a completely different thing although that brewery is pretty cool and I LOVE their Alba Scots Pine Ale.

I accidentally Bengali'd my attendant's name. As in, it has a j in it, but Bengalis mix up j and z (so does half the subcontinent, it's interesting when people talk about the zoo), and I know a Bengali by that name with z in it, so I said it like that.

Also, I have termites or something. I also have jungle expedition grade mosquito spray, that seems to kill them dead.

I had 2 conversations! One last night, it went something like this:

Guy with huge gun in the foyer, no one who speaks English to explain what is going on.
Kali: آپ یہاں کام کے لئے ہیں؟ | Are you working here?
Guy: uh-huh. nod
Kali: اچھا | good

The other one was with one of the cleaners. He had one of these, which we have in Scotland and it's way better than the brooms you get in the West. I wanted to explain to him that we got it from Bangladesh, so I said:
بنگلادیش سے لاتی ہیں . | They brought it from Bangladesh.
And then he was like "Ooooh, export!"

Smiley: lol

Soooo happy.

Good grief... I think the bar I go to with friends here makes drinks really strong. I had HALF of a vanilla vodka and coke and I'm tipsy. It was friggin ridiculous. Good thing I made it home before the drink hit me. Living 5 minutes away from the bar helps lol.

My 10 year class reunion was tonight. That was sorta fun. I left after about an hour and a half because I ran out of people to talk to and got bored. Went to the regular bar I go to instead, since my friend and her husband's band were playing there. For being a country/rock band, they did pretty good. Time to go crash now though, I have to be up in about 9 hours for the matinee. I am all Greased out for the week.
