I honestly have no idea. The people I lived with then usually stock up loads of wine every time they go (once a year) that is around $50/bottle and that one was more expensive than that. IIRC it was Sauvignon? I have no idea about this kinda stuff.
I just didn't have enough money to buy my own cooking wine, haha, and I was cooking for them so they let me use it.

Cabernet Sauvignon? It's a pretty common wine for wine drinkers, and I'm glad it wasn't a really expensive bottle; my mom gave a friend of hers a really nice bottle once and she ended up cooking with it.
It was like a $100 bottle.
And I agree, sweet wines are mostly gross. Dessert wines are generally the only sweet wines I'll drink.
