Eh, it's not that hard to set up tactics for your party so that they always attack your tank's target. As long as your tank doesn't change (or if he/she does, you change the tactic to reflect this). My healer definitely has the most tactic slots out of anyone. It's ridiculous. The page is almost completely full, and that's just for healing stuff and her sustained spells. I do have one tactic set up to turn haste off if there are any enemies alive though. That way she doesn't go through her mana like crazy.

I've gotten to level 15, it gets pretty intense around level 9.

So I finally got my MoP beta access. Waiting on my rogue(s) to transfer over.

Rolled a panda, they have goofy but cool animations for rogues. Their starting area is sweet.

EDIT: Also Aethien, that's a really cool link you put up for Reddit. Steve Duchesne played on probably the best team to ever play together (and ever will).

For anyone who didn't know, D3 is having an open beta weekend (I'm guessing stress test) starting today at 12 PST (global time).

Well ****.
My PC is starting to fall apart.
First the soundcard decided it's gonna break down, now my E: drive decided to break down, and now there's not enough space for WoW to update.
Sooo, I guess I will be on a WoW hiatus now till I get a new PC.

Thank god I have God of War on Playstation.

Clearly your computer is overdosing on all that ****.

The whole 'pausing every other second to queue up 4 character's abilities' thing still feels awkward to me. I like how you get both a turn-based feel and a live action feel, but it can be pretty clunky at times.
Yeah, see, that makes a game pretty much unplayable for me. Either go turn based OR live action, something in between just frustrates me to no end.

If you set up your tactics properly, and don't mind making some poor decisions, then you won't need to pause.

The healing set up seems to go okay, and I don't usually have problems with what Wynne is thinking. If there's a problem pausing to have Morrigan throw an extra heal seems to cover things fine, or I'll throw out the group heal or rez or whatever. It's easy enough to make sure my 4th person simply deals out damage to whatever my main character is hurting, so that's not really an issue either.

I've given up using tactics for CC though. I don't know what it is about the logic there, but it's terrible. Having your tank shield slam something then having that CC negated by a mind blast or whatever is just silliness. I'm really tired of burning 40 second CDs because the computer can't aim glyphs right, prematurely setting off mind blast, launching sleep somewhere questionable, or any number of things. It's the type of thing that when you miss you have to pop potions (ugh I hate burning money there), you take more damage than necessary, etc.

Simple stuff I can play through through pretty easy without any real pausing. I'll usually just stop it initially, throw my glyphs, and then just let things play out from then on. Anything that requires any thought though will be paused frequently, especially in the beginning, and then later on once CC abilities start to come off of CD. Maybe I'm still doing it wrong but I can't imagine doing an encounter of any real difficulty without at least some pausing.

I've been frustrated by the same thing. It's got to the point where I've just turned a lot of them off. Burning through mana buffing the group for what should be a simple encounter is a no-no in my book. Smiley: disappointed

You're welcome, I didn't think it was a particularly interesting AMA but I don't know any of the names or any context whatsoever so I figured most of the fun parts were lost on me.

I haven't spent a single skill on combat tactics on this play through, and I'm preferring it that way. Anything not directly related to their normal DPS is being micromanaged by me.

Which means it's the first time I've been able to get the advanced crafts, or even invest in trap making. It's been an interesting shift.

I haven't invested any advanced tactics with Leliana, which is who I have taught the trap stuff. I don't make traps with it, I just taught it to her so she can detect them and keep people from setting them off. What amuses me, is when I'm controlling my character, and I hear her say the "trap right ahead!" alert, and then she walks right into it. >.< I mean, really?

I'm going to start needing to invest in adv. tactics with her though, as she currently doesn't have anymore space to add abilities and I almost have the archery tree completed. I need to figure out a way to get Scattershot in there!

And so I did, good choice.
It's a pretty damn nice beer, complex like a quad and smooth and creamy like a stout with lots of malts. Good stuff and I'll definitely get more of this.
Also crazy amounts of lacing, so pretty!

I'm getting error 37 and occasionally it stalls for a couple minutes and then DC's me

They've capped the number of people in the beta at the moment to deal with some issues, so I doubt we'll get in for the next hour or so.

I should probably be doing work anyway, I am currently billing my client after all.
