I don't know, I think it's pretty damn funny to name a huge *** dog Kitty. Then again, I'm weird.

I'll tell you something that's not fun though, watching your friends on facebook fight with each other over one of your posts. I had to deal with that a week or two ago when I posted something about the racist @#%^s who were pissed off that Rue turned out to be black in the Hunger Games movie, then a couple days ago when I posted an article about how much it costs to have a ****** and one of my exes took it the wrong way and started moaning about how expensive it was to be a single father, and now I'm dealing with it again over something I posted about butter vs. margarine. My friends need to chill the @#%^ out.

Your friends need to smoke more pot.

Or become more educated.

One of the two.

In some of their cases, yeah it probably wouldn't hurt. I think a lot of it is just people misconstruing what the other is trying to say. It's a lot more difficult trying to ascertain someone's motivations or what they're trying to say over text, especially if you don't know them. It's one of the reasons why I try not to fight with people on facebook. One of my friends from high school has a husband who is fun to debate with, but I think she gets a bit irritated at us for doing it, lol. I know she's gotten frustrated at me for disagreeing with her about things before, but I tried to explain to her that there is a difference between debating and arguing. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just trying to express my opinion and try to understand yours.

D'aww @ the puppy indeed!

Oh yeah, and I tried Leffe this weekend. Still getting used to it, but significantly better in a glass than in the bottle. Too bitter for me if drunk quickly, but I'm enjoying it a lot by sipping.

Any decent beer should be consumed in a glass, preferably in the type of glass it was meant for. Which would be a chalice in this case (a tulip, a snifter or a large wine glass works as well).
Makes the beer taste a whole lot better.

Also, which Leffe did you have?

Also also, top hat + sunglasses + photostudio = lulz

Did you steal my sunglasses?

And my top hat?

You really should have had a monocle for that pic.

I should get a monocle if I do this again.

Also, what'd you buy at MrB to get the same sunglasses as me!? Smiley: eek

I have no idea what you're talking about, I got mine via JackThreads for like $10.

They're not the same, but they're aviators, so meh.

I got mine as a gift when I bought my boots, they have the MrB logo on there though.

Oh, and MrB is a leather gay store, which is why I was curious what you'd bought there. (Leather pants? Whips? Chains? Worse?)

So I've been voluntold to attend Drill Sergeant School and will probably do a Summer/Winter cycle or two as such. At least I get a spiffy hat and medal.

I don't wanna. Smiley: crymore

Oh, and the wife. I should probably mention not wanting to be away from the wife.

You should try to get Orval then, same style just better. Or Brewery Ommegang's BPA or Rare Vos, also the same style but better, and made in the USA.
Or try Duvel, which is also similar but much stronger and so goddamn delicious.

Belgian (style) beers tend to be less about the IBU and they have none of the massive hop bitterness that many american craft brews have, they do have the distinct yeast flavour though, much more my kind of thing than the hops.
Anyways... I won't go geek too much about beer now.

I've had... something... from Ommegang. Don't remember what it was, though. Bitter, iirc.

Yeah, sorry about that. Nothing good ever happens in Missouri.

Too bad you didn't just get punted into Jersey. There are quite a few bases around here, particularly up north, no? Have NO clue if any serve as boot camps, though.

And Smiley: lol at you being so grown up that you'll miss your dog more than your sex life.

Ommegang makes a whole lot of beers and a couple of those are IPA's I think, those are probably really bitter hop bombs. Still, pretty much any beer from Ommegang is going to be more bitter and stronger in taste than Leffe.

My lady and I really liked the Leffe Tripel. She's more of an IPA type and I'm more about the porters. But the tripel was a nice in-between.

Also, +1 for "voluntold". =)

Only if she's reading over your shoulder, amirite?

In all seriousness though, that does suck. You didn't mention that you were going to have to go far away to be mean to the 18 year olds. That would definitely make a difference.

Try to get Westmalle Tripel and/or Tripel Karmeliet, two excellent tripels.

Also of note: New Belgium has a very nice tripel for these warm nights we're getting here.

Thanks for the tip Aethien, added to the list

Westmalle is THE tripel, if I recall correctly it's the first tripel and it is the one everyone else tries to beat. Tripel Karmeliet is a pretty hoppy beer for a Belgian beer although by american standards it's not very hoppy.
