I don't get it either. It's exciting when you actually have a fish on the line, and you're reeling it in. But the wait, omg the wait is soooo boring. My dad was really big into fishing, and I was when I was young, but it hasn't been something I've enjoyed since I became a teen.

It kind of depends on what you're doing while you're fishing. Drinking with your best buddies, it's a blast. Hanging out with your dad when you're a teenager and can't drink? Eh, nope.

I went saltwater fishing on a charter boat once. Caught a big *** bluefin tuna. Probably some of the best fun/best work out I've ever had, bar none.

I've done that once. I was cold, bored, and very unhappy with the overwhelming smell of fish...

Just played the Diablo 3 beta for the first time, and I have to say I completely disagree with Mazra about the feel of the game.

That might be why it's hurting.
No, I think it's the red, blistered skin that's the problem. And no, because it's my right index finger and I need that for my mouse. It stopped hurting now though, still looks pretty ugly.

For some reason, I read that in a stereotypical feminine gay voice.
And I try to avoid walking past the fish stand on the market, I sure as hell am not going to spend hours sitting in a boat smelling like fish. I can eat salmon and fishfingers and that's where it stops for me, I'd much rather have a nice steak than eat fish.

Fishing is great. We go beach, cast and drink and hang out. Usually bring food and barbeque as well.

Very relaxing and you also get to catch fish.

A good fish is awesome. Wild fresh salmon, only have had a few times, or a really good pice of ahi or some fresh papio or ulua. Really good fish is far harder to find than a good steak.

Comparison between all the games.

It's not that the... scenery? doesn't look like Diablo, it's just that the feel of the game had me thinking more of an isometric WoW than Diablo. It doesn't seem as ominous as the previous two.

/highfive

Ahi is awesome.

By fresh papio/ulua I mean caught with in the last few minutes typically. Sometimes if the grill has died or we some how forgot to bring we just eat em sashimi style, soooo good.

Pretty much. My dad hates fish and he's the one who did all the daily cooking while I grew up. See where I wrote I can eat salmon and fishfingers and that's it.
I simply don't like the fishy taste, for lack of a better word.

To be fair, fish doesn't have to be from Hawaii to be good. Pickled herring, fried plaice, smoked mackerel, steamed salmon... it's all amazing. Fish, however, is just one of those things that you either like or dislike. Personally, I love it.

Interesting note: Papio is largely known as the Latin name for the baboon race. It produced some interesting results when I tried to look up pictures of the fish on Google. Turns out the fish 'papio' is any young fish of the Carangidae family and not a species.

The more you know.

Pickled herring usually smells of the condiments used in the marinade. A couple of bites of spiced herring on a piece of fresh rye bread, complimented by a shot of aquavit and a glass of beer. That's good food.

If you think pickled herring smells "absolutely disgusting" then you've obviously never opened a can of 'surströmming'. Fermented herring... what could go wrong? Just don't open it inside the house.

Golf and fishing are great ways to turn off the world and just relax. I love going to the links or a boat or something, pop in the iPod, and just have some time in my own little universe. It doesn't sound like much, or even something difficult to do with other activities, but it works for me.

Fermented herring is a Swedish delicacy. Norwegians eat the nasty lutefisk. Danes don't have odd fish delicacies like that, as far as I know.

Smiley: dubious Seemed pretty ominous to me, especially with the walls that would suddenly explode and spew forth monsters. I thought it felt right in line with the other two Diablo games. It's a perception thing though, so pretty individual.
