I'm listening to a mix of Nirvana, Alice In Chains The Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures and Karma To Burn.
Seriously good stuff.

Edit: I accidentally a band.

It's because your avatar isn't Clint Eastwood on Facebook.

No, our islands aren't that small and I've lived away from the sea all my life.

Could be, I don't know. I don't think I've ever seen the whole movie.

I miss the ocean. Smiley: frown I grew up in a beach town.

I was never even one to go to the beach (sun + sand + saltwater = Smiley: glare). But never seeing it, never hearing it, never smelling it makes me a sad panda. The beach at night, particularly when the moon is full, is probably one of my favorite environments. Second to that is Muir Woods in California. Pictures can't even remotely do that place justice; I've yet to see one actually properly capture the lighting, the scope of the trees, or the foliage all at once. Plus, the way sound travels through the forest is an important part.

Forests, hills and mountains > Sea, sun and sand.

Not that we have hills or mountains to speak of in this country. I think our highest "mountain" is something like 300m high.

See picture. Enjoy picture. Send picture to wife. Stark realization that the subtle plan may backfire.

Any place without snow-capped mountains is weird. Also more green = good.

I'm totally with you on that Digg. The town I grew up in was a beach town too. When i live in Eugene, I miss the beach periodically, but at least there, I'm only a two hour drive from the coast. When I lived in Oklahoma, that was torture. For more than one reason, but being that far away from the beach was a big one.

Also Aeth, 300m is not a mountain, it's a large hill.

I hate living near the beach... too many tourists. I'd rather be by a pool, tanning my already tan self. Or swimming... Swimming in a pool doesn't make my cheeks burn (swimming at the beach with the sun causes me to get sunburned just under my eyes. I hate it).

I lived in Hawaii for three years. I got sick and tired of the beach after six months. It's great for a vacation, or maybe an extended vacation but if I had to do it again I'd probably end up killing someone, which really sucks because it was really difficult finding places to hide the bodies the first time.

And to a previous topic, I hate what this guy ... I think it's a guy .. looks like. I'd probably break his nose if I met him, but for some odd reason I really like this song. I was tempted to use the video with just the lyrics, but I decided that you guys should see the conflict I'm having to deal with here.

That is the perk of living in a small town by the beach. Even during tourist season, there really aren't that many tourists here. At least not on the beach anyways.

We get a ton of tourists--it's super annoying. But locals generally know where to go to avoid them. What irritates me is that the tourists have been getting more brazen, finding the less-known places where you could generally avoid the Pennsylvanians.

But it also means that there's an explosion of available jobs every summer, so I have to take the bad with the good.

At least you don't get burned all over. Damn my german/scottish heritage. :(

Highest point in Denmark is this one. Highest natural point is a 170m hill in Jutland.

Flat country is flat.
