yeah, it's awesome. I was going to send you beers from there before I realized it would be pretty much impossible.

Also, nothing beats a white beer on a nice day. Get St. Bernardus Witbier or Allagash White if you can. How far are you from Maine? :P

I live in a college town. Unless I want a 24 pack of PBR, I'll have to travel a fair ways. :P Well, not technically far, but it's still rush hour around here, and the only decent liquor stores I know of require those roads. (Note: In NJ, drinking alcohol cannot be sold in grocery stores, so you need to go to a dedicated outlet).

Maybe one of these days I'll get around to asking Eske if he has any stores to recommend (he lives in the next town over, last time I checked). Dunno if he's a drinker, though.

It's been slightly relaxed. Now, groceries CAN sell alcohol, but NJ has additional regulations on when alcohol can be sold (and in some counties, you can't buy it on Sundays). So the few groceries that carry it have a separate section that they close off after ten o'clock. Otherwise, the whole store would need to close then, and minors couldn't enter without an adult. *Laws don't apply to bars, which only need to close for 2 hours out of every 24.

Even then, they are being challenged.

Blizzard is disappointing me lately with their games. Mists of Pandaria looks to me like a giant mess of silly gimmicks and inconsequential storylines. Yeah, Garrosh will be the final boss - thanks for the spoiler and all - but it's not like it really matters. The guy is an @#%^ and we all hate him more than Arthas by now.

Aspects turning mortal is suckage equivalent to the vacuum of space. I'm tired of dragons, but effectively killing off that many major characters in a 20-second cutscene like that is just lame. And the whole "fight the war itself" Feng shui crap they're pulling in Mists... meh. Monks belong in Diablo. Pandas belong in Warcraft 3 as a joke. Pokémon needs to GTFO.

Add a mildly disappointing talent revamp and I'm done. Haven't played since January and I've no intention of playing anytime soon.

Diablo 3 is also looking like a major disappointment. The engine looks like something from 2008. Controls drove me crazy 10 minutes into the beta (especially if you're a melee character). Story seems mildly interesting, but it sort of drowns in the massive cluster@#%^ that is the design. I'm not sure if I'm playing an isometric version of Kingdoms of Amalur or Street Fighter.

I guess my main gripe with the game is that it's not a Diablo game. Yes, there are skeletons, demons and witches, but it's not a Diablo game. It completely lacks the Diablo atmosphere.

Only mildly? That's one of my bigger complaints, to tell the truth.

Down here, you can't sell alcohol before noon on Sundays, but that's really the only restriction that comes to mind. It was pretty annoying when I would work in a local grocery store on Sunday mornings and we had to turn people away because they were trying to buy a case of beer for the football game or something that afternoon, but that seems relatively minor compared to that whole Jersey clusterfreak.

Well, the ones relating to the general hours (must close by 10, can't open before X, bars must close 2 hours out of every 24) are state laws. The rest are by county, or even township. A very small minority have banned the sale of alcohol altogether (I don't even think there are bars). Which is actually dumb as f*ck, because it just leads to more cases of drunk driving. A larger minority bans the sale of liquor, but does issue licenses to some restaurants or bars. Then you have a decent number (but still small) that are dry on Sundays, completely. I don't THINK there are any of that type that make the distinction between eateries/shops.

It gets annoying if you wander into a dry county and didn't realize it. But otherwise it's GENERALLY a non-issue, beyond the early hours irritation. There's currently a debate that they should just eliminate the requirement that alcohol be kept separate, even if they don't eliminate the hours issue. Just don't let the cashier ring it up. Problem (one) solved.

I just downloaded the demo of Kingdoms of Amalur and am trying to decide if I want to buy the full game. I enjoyed it, but I'm just not sure.

It's enjoyable, but I vote wait until it's on sale unless your to-play list has truncated quite a bit. I was legitimately enjoying the game, but with TOR, ME3, Skyrim, my slow progress through a replay of the Dragon Age series, and the MANY other titles I'm working on... Well... KoA definitely hasn't been a priority. It's a fun game, but my issues with it are (in many ways) similar to my biggest gripes about Skyrim. You can DO a lot, without causing any real change in the world. Yeah, if you go back to place X, an NPC might be dead or alive, but it's never relevant (in my experience). Maybe it will be later--IDK.

Not saying it isn't fun. It is. The combat is great, the art is great, the story is interesting and solid. Voice acting could be worse (and is definitely better than Skyrim, on average). Definitely worth playing, but better worth waiting until you can get it for $40-50, at most. Especially since you didn't immediately love the demo.

Damn, BeerAdvocate doesn't know of a single decent bottle shop in New Brunswick, which is where I assume you live (since that's what I got when I googled Rutgers).
You've got this though.

I feel so old school. My game of choice is Tales of Graces F.

Okay, it is a newish game, but completely old school design.
