On a sidenote, I went looking for a summer coat today, which I need since I don't have one at the moment and a leather jacket won't do once it gets warm.
I saw a really nice one and to my surprise it even had a 75% discount.

Then I saw the pricetag... From €359,95 For only €90! Smiley: glare

Summer coats are overrated. Just go hoodie like the awesome people do.

Hoodies aren't water proof, it rains too much here to not have a water proof coat.

They make awesome stuff, but it probably costs a fortune to ship to you... Smiley: frown

They have a Dutch webshop but it's not really my style. I'm looking for something more like this or this (Although I'd prefer grey over green).

On a sidenote: GIMMEGIMMEGIMME!

Edit: This one's pretty nice too and the guy wearing it isn't half bad either... Smiley: grin

Dude, you don't even live in Scotland. My coat isn't waterproof. I simply wear clothes that dry super quick (makes ablution easier, too).

Well what's more important: staying dry or looking pretty?

Looking pretty gets you laid.

Also, this is going to end badly.

That's what I was afraid of... Smiley: rolleyes

I'm probably the wrong person to be having this conversation with then. As I had no problems tromping around in my awesome neon orange Stihl rain gear if it meant I was dry... Smiley: lol

I just love everything pretty.

And you'd fit in well around here, assuming your wife is ok with wearing the same brightly coloured windbreaker while you're both cycling (on matching bicycles of course).

So... is the summer coat something you just wear when it rains? Or is it actually cool enough during the summer to justify wearing a light jacket?

How often does it rain in the summer there?

Rain is always a possibility here, it's also rarely above 25°C here. But anything 15°C or so and up will be too warm for a leather jacket.

Edit: and summer coat is also kind of spring and part of autumn coat.

Wow. I can see the need, then.

As it is, it's ~27°C here right now.

In March.

Can't be worse than here. It's just water -- shrug it off. Smiley: wink

I also stumbled across some old music I'd forgotten about. Brings back memories of high school.

Now I'm thinking of summer in Denmark again.

10°C and rainy. Smiley: mad

Of course I still had a brilliant time, but that isn't what I'd normally call "summer".

In March, we tend to switch back and forth between 5°C and rainy, 15°C and sunny, 0°C and snowing, 10°C and cloudy and everything in between.
Today looks like it's going to be the last one. I just hope it won't rain too much.

I tend to wear a fleece when the weather is shitty.

Also works for rain. Smiley: schooled

I didn't check the links but there is some type of spray or something that you can put on non-waterproof coats to make them waterproof. Forgot what it's called though. lol
