I quit smoking and drinking for 2 months already but still can't sleep. Reprogramming my body takes longer that I estimated.

Problems solved.

Well that's pretty awesome. I don't know how my boss would feel about the whole hitting a wall after 5 hours without a nap though... Smiley: lol

It's cool but also really impractical.

Edit: Sleepyti.me is pretty cool too, and a more practical tool.
Not so useful if you have young kids who are likely to wake you up in the middle of the night though.

One of the nice things about being Muslim is that I'm now on a schedule of being awake for half an hour twice a night (sometimes I stay awake after the second time, but with days getting longer it's gonna be at 4am soon, so ***** that).

Some nights I miss both of them (at least only one is obligatory).

I've tried powernapping. Can't do it. I have a tendency to ignore the alarm when it goes off 30 minutes later, resulting in a slightly longer powernap. Last time I tried, I went to take a nap at 4 PM and woke up at 1 AM.

It only works if you've got enough sleep otherwise, as well.

What also helps is if you know you have to give someone a wake up call at 5:30am. Smiley: smile

Sorry but you don't sound like you enjoying this cult. You complaint more than you like it.

It's benefiting me, and ultimately giving me some things I've been looking for.

Like how it seems to be the only thing that wakes me up that early in the morning. Smiley: grin
#13565 Mar 12 2012 at 6:55 PM Rating: Good
Plus, I'm just as annoyed when I don't have to wake up that early as I am when I do, so there's that.

Also, if you never want to sleep again, you need to become a sparkly vampire, duh.

My opinion on religion is: whatever works for ya.

My problem with religion is when people decide to impose it on others. I don't care if someone gets up twice a night to pray, but the moment they put some guy with a set of speakers outside my window, doing the karaoke at 4 AM, I'll smack him so hard with a hardback copy of my constitution that he'll see paragraphs for a week straight.

Feel free to eat and drink, wear, say and do whatever you like. Just don't tell me what to do.

And that's enough serious talk for one night from me.

Pretty much my opinion, verbatim. It's almost funny, because whenever I see reddit's atheism section, they're pretty much the exact opposite, i.e. almost constant mocking of religion it seems. To them it's like if you have a religion, you are a complete herp derp.

I wouldn't if the rest of my world didn't either.

Unfortunately, Daylight Savings Time is still a thing here, so no choice have I.

I follow George Carlin's Three Commandments:
  • THOU SHALT ALWAYS BE HONEST AND FAITHFUL, ESPECIALLY TO THE PROVIDER OF THY NOOKIE.
  • THOU SHALT TRY REAL HARD NOT TO KILL ANYONE, UNLESS, OF COURSE, THEY PRAY TO A DIFFERENT INVISIBLE AVENGER THAN THE ONE YOU PRAY TO
  • THOU SHALT KEEP THY RELIGION TO THYSELF

Just wish they'd wait another couple weeks so I wasn't waking up when it was dark out still. Just got used to the light in the morning. Smiley: frown

Also, it's still snowing here, and it's the middle of March. Go figure...

Busy as well, mostly good though and as of the last week I've been drinking too much awesome beer. (Damn you great beer coming in 75cl bottles!)

Probably Raw and probably because I rate him down on sight because I find him annoying and because he's using the same avatar as Alma.

I totally do this. My flatmates think it's great, as long as someone in their house is praying regularly they're okay with whatever it takes. I'm actually kind of looking forward to living in a country where I'm not to blame for waking everyone up in the middle of the night. Smiley: lol

Plus, no constitution in this country. I know, right?
