You guys are keeping the WoW general forum surprisingly busy, considering the number of Zammers that have quit in the past two years.

Yeah, it's been nice that there's actually been some stuff to talk about lately. They've been slowly dribbling out information about the next expansion.

Is it actually looking interesting or just yet another dumbing down of many parts of the game?

They seem to be dumbing down the whole researching and background part of it (talent trees, stat simplification, etc), while trying to keep the complexity of some of gameplay intact. One of those things where there's really no more showing up with the wrong gear or spec, so you best be able to not stand in fire.

Really continuing and expanding on a lot of the Cataclysm ideas, causal-friendly, more solo and small group stuff.

Whelp, I certainly made the right choice to stop playing then.
Only a little while until D3 is out.

Yeah the game is really feeling a bit weird lately. Was just think the other day I don't even remember the last time I died outside of a battleground.

Nevermind, Howling Fjord on my DK. Still it's been a while... PvP too. There's a lot of healer survivability these days. Unless you get focused pretty heavily you're not dying there either.

With TOR, EVE, and a myriad of other games (including, now, ME3 multiplayer), it's no big loss for me.

Also, reading up on D3 beta patch 1.14 makes me a little anxious with anticipation. It's not going to be a cakewalk and it looks like the game will have many *********************** moments.
Now I'm just hoping that Q2 2012 won't mean a June 30th release.
