Oh also, while I was in Amsterdam today I saw a brilliant living statue* of Spiderman. I was kind of sad that I didn't have my camera with me or else I'd have made a photo of him for you Lolgaxe.

*Living statue, Damplein variety. Meaning that it's a cheap, shoddy costume of some random superhero/horror villain and they never ever stand still. (and if they do happen to not move, it's because they're cheating by sitting in a chair.)
They're basically beggars but (slightly) more entertaining to look at and drunk/stoned people seem to like having their pictures taken with them.

We have those around here. Some really elaborate costumes to some shoddy ones. We also have the Naked Cowboy. And you should go back and take that picture. And I want a beer. And it's still a ghoul. And and and.

I have Zombie Dust, Hel & Verdoemenis 666, St Bernardus Wit, Achel Bruin 8°, Brouwerij 'T IJ Paasij, Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti, De Struise Brouwers Struise Rosse, Pannepot Grand Reserva 2005, Cuvee Delphine, Westvleteren 12 and Westvleteren 8.

Oh and La Chouffe blonde.

Which one do you want? ^^

Also, it was glorious. He was like a spiderman who quit being a hero, started living a normal life until a midlife crisis hit and he pushed his out of shape body and beer belly into his old suit that'd been gathering dust and mold for the last 25 years.
Even the eyes of his suit drooped down.

And I promise that next time I'll take my camera with me, although he may be Superman then, or Batman, or the Joker... I've seen some really bad Jokers there.

I have Baileys Mint Chocolate I pour into my coffee in the mornings, but it's hardly the same.

That Spider-Man sounds kind of like the one from Spider-Man: Reign. Now I want a pic even more. Smiley: laugh A Batman/Joker would be kind of like Gotham City Impostors, which would also be pretty awesome to see. A few years ago we had a Spider-Man/Venom/Carnage trio wandering around Manhattan. They occasionally stopped and danced. I think I followed them like six or seven blocks. I probably have a picture somewhere, but it'd be on my home computer and would require my not being lazy to find it.

Or it could probably be in my images here, and I'm just too lazy to look for it anyway. I just want to be lazy, is all.

I've sort of been meaning to go there just to make a series of portraits of these guys.
And take my tripod and make long exposure shots to show how great they are at being statues. Smiley: tongue

bunny ears are win.

Also works sucks right now. If there's some kind of limit to how many different projects one can have going at a time before their head explodes I'm fast approaching it. Smiley: rolleyes

And the only way to know for sure is to hit that limit!

At least, that's what the higherups always seem to think.

Today I learned that if you are a U.S. citizen, you have a right as per the Freedom of Information Act to submit a written request to the FBI to send you your case file - that is, if they have any information on you, they'll let you know.

It sounds kind of cool. Of course, if you don't have a record, you automatically create one for yourself by submitting the request (they have to keep it down that you requested, I guess), not that that's a bad thing if you do nothing else.

It's just interesting to wonder what they really know. I think I might request my info.

I'd be careful with it, since if there is something that you weren't aware of that there was an outstanding warrant for you just basically got yourself arrested. Outstanding vehicle violations (parking, speeding, drinking) are hilarious. I've seen it happen. Smiley: laugh

Quoth the Reddit:

Quote:
Back in high school my AP History teacher began a rant on the new freedom of information act, and explained that if anyone cared enough you could send an old fashion letter to the FBI, and they had to give up all information they knew about you (or would tell you). We convinced him to do it as a class project, and all twenty students wrote well thought out letters to our FBI.

About two months go by, and we have all figured the government just ignored us, then a large box from USPS shows up, and my teacher opens it to find our returned letters of information!

My letter began as normal, "Thank you for your time and consideration to sending us this letter to receive your information..."

Then began my list of cyber crimes, starting with "KNOWN ASSOCIATE OF HACKER GROUP ANONYMOUS." I may still have the letter lying around somewhere, but I felt proud that my three and a half page list of silly cyber crimes was the longest letter anyone got, the administration wouldn't allow the teacher to do it anymore after we did.

Other fun notes included,
  • Copyright Theft - TPB downloads
  • DDOS
  • CP Watchlist (4chan)
  • "Threat to cyber identity"

Honestly, I think that post might be fake, but you can still request the info.

And yeah, if just going to 4chan put you on the "CP Watchlist", they'd have a list roughly the size of the current population of Wyoming.

I think Aeth'll enjoy this. Not my cup of tea.

I was reading a comic book, and there was an advertisement for a shirt, "Saturday Night of the Living Dead." If you know the movie "Saturday Night Fever" with John Travolta, you know the poster pose. It's that, but with a zombie, and I want it. I just kind of found this by accident.

And I found the shirt. Smiley: grin

Not to mention a list of everyone who ever downloaded anything from TPB for copyright theft.

I'd definitely be flagged for some PB downloads, mostly subbed anime.

Why download anime through TPB? Just use BakaBT. They have most stuff, except for licensed anime, although you need to seed to at least 0.5 or get banned but that pretty much guarantees awesome download speeds.

Never even heard of BakaBT. It's been a pretty long time since I last downloaded anything, anyway. Don't have much free time these days, and my to-play/to-read lists are large enough that watching a show just doesn't make the cut. :P

BakaBT used to be BoxTorrents, if that means anything to you.
