The eczema is probably weather related - I've had it in some of those spots before, back home. Didn't get it in England because that's halfway to tropical, I suppose.
Inside my mind it's all "not sure if eczema or some sort of reaction to the vaccines, too... OH GOD I HAVE CONTRACTED POLIO D:".
Kali, it's easy to say that the relationship with the British dude wasn't all bad, when you don't have $3500 in phone bills that you are still paying off 8 years later. Not to mention he was verbally abusive... All in all though, he's not a bad guy. He was going through a lot of **** at the time (not that that excuses his behavior) and I've forgiven him and we're on good terms now. Still would be nice if he'd help me pay that phone bill off, but oh well.
Also, taking a day off the internet to read manga all day was nice. Yay for Fruits Basket.
Fruits Basket is so cute. I need to re-acquire the anime right now.
And yeah, I once managed to get €45 in phone bill in one day by talking to some Austrian dude I had an Internet crush on on the phone (my mum wouldn't let me online). This was when I was like... 14 or so. And I didn't even talk to the guy for more than an hour.
I'm so happy that I can call most countries for next to nothing now even if there's no Skype available.
And yeah, that Asian girl is cute. This reminds me, one of my (other kind of) Asian friends complained to me today about the fact that there's so many Asian students at our uni. Turns out like 35% of students at my campus are internationals (and as far as I know the university doesn't even count people like me as international students). UK average is probably around 20% and of the top 100 unis according to the site where you can compare statistics like that there are like... 6 or 7 with more than us; mostly London ones, ones that are either really good or really bad and ones that specialise in things like Islamic studies and such... we're technically just a normal uni. So yay. I chose well.
(Seriously, my mum has actually complained that I have too many Asian friends and told me to get some Scottish friends. I told her I've got some, but the truth is even most of my Scottish friends are Asian enough to not count as far as my mum is concerned.)
I have the anime, and I do love it but it makes me sad that it breaks off not even halfway through the manga. I've been wanting to find out what happens for a while now, but I didn't feel like spending $230 to get the books, and I'm not a big fan of reading a manga on my pc. But I just figured out how to get manga on my kindle, and so I read all 23 books of FB starting at about 6pm Tuesday, and ending at about 3am this morning. With breaks for sleep, a bit of tv watching, and eating of course. Not my ideal ending, but it was pretty good.
There are a lot of Asian international students at my university too. I don't know what the percentage is, but they're definitely the largest population of minority. It just makes me sad that they stick together so much and don't really socialize with any of the Americans.
lolgaxe I can't say I blame you for that. I have learned however, that it's not a good idea to watch the anime when I'm experiencing PMS (which only happens a couple times a year max). It makes me cry like crazy.
I did enjoy the anime, but I think this might be one of the occasions where you can say that the manga was better without it being at all pretentious.
Now, I admit, I never learned to give a crap about Yuki and his quest for self importance. But the rest of the characters' stories were great.
I really need to catch up on Bleach, now that I think about it. I haven't read it at all since Rukia got turned into a stuffed animal then brutalized by that creepy "cute things" girl. I had also been reading One Piece, but then stopped suddenly, but I can't remember why.

Then don't watch Full Moon wo Sagashite. Or at least stop before episode 40.
So sad.

Eh, just read the thread and save yourself the headache.
As for myself, I've started rewatching Naruto from the beginning. The Chuunin exam was a really good arc.

That bad, huh? Was that baddie just the interim bad guy, like everyone suspected he would be? I honestly don't quite understand where they intended to take things. I can only suspend disbelief about enemy strength for so long. Once Ichigo became so powerful that Aizen couldn't even sense him anymore, it pretty much destroyed any chance for them to introduce a believable new bad guy.

It IS unfortunate when the series peaks at like episode 30. XD
It wasn't all bad after that, I suppose. But Sasuke just gets whinier and whinier after the Naruto/Gaara fight. I read up through the Pein fight, but after that I was pretty much done. Sasuke's a terrible villain.
Plus, the plot no jutsu got old, fast.
[EDIT]
The BIGGEST bit of BS was when Naruto was doing the Sage training, and Kishimoto left the cliffhanger of Gamakichi telling he he needed to die. Fans everywhere spent a week expected an awesome future where Naruto goes to the land of the dead, where he meets all the major figures and the Yondaime.
Instead, the next chapter begins with "...as a human".
WTF WAS THAT?

Bleach has been on hiatus for three weeks, so not much of anything has actually happened from where you said you stopped. While I can pretend and say Ginjo was the big bad, we all know that in manga like this every bad guy is the interim bad guy just by knowing the next baddie is going to be more powerful. Though, it has been released that the next arc is going to be the last one so the speculation is involving Soul King.
And I hope it is Brook from One Piece. I would laugh and laugh and laugh.
The Naruto manga has actually been pretty decent as of late. Things actually make sense, and are moving in a believable manner. I don't know about the anime, because I stopped watching sometime after Sakura was fighting the puppet guy. The last chapter had babyish versions of the nine tailed beasts that were kind of adorable.

Pretty much this. Depending on your opinion, it may not be the peak of the series, but it's certainly at a high point right now. It's still worth a read.
I checked the anime every now and again to watch some of the more intense fights, as they tend to go into more detail than the manga (read: more DBZ-style mountain crushing), but I stopped after seeing the horrible Pain fight. I laughed. And laughed. And laughed.
I <3 Yuki. But then again, I also really dig the sensitive pretty boy type. Don't get me wrong, I like Kyo, I just couldn't ever see myself dating a guy like him with his anger issues and his obsession with being macho.
As far as my favorite characters though, it's a tie between Ayame and Momiji. Ayame just cracks me up with how flamboyant and extroverted he is. Momiji is just about the most adorable thing I've ever seen, despite his whining and acting like a little kid. And seeing him all growed up at the end of the manga was awesome. Let's just say he got really tall between his first and second years of high school.
Oh god... One of the best aspects of Shippuuden was the art, which I really thought was excellent. And they just RUINED that. It's gone too far in the opposite direction and they seem to be trying to use the comedic parts of the original Naruto in the serious parts of Shippuuden...
I liked Momiji in the manga. Wasn't a huge fan of him in the anime. I really liked... Rin? Was that the horse's name? The one that the cow guy ends up with?

Watched the whole anime three times (with enough spacing to forget the ending, but this time it seems to have stuck), bawled every time. That's the only show I can say that about.
