Sorry I didn't know this, I was pretty sure Maz was posting with a Animated Rampaging Teddy Bear for a while, I could have it wrong however.

Woot - got my [wowitem=47464]Death's Choice[/wowitem] from TotGC last night! Outrolled 10 or so other guildies :) That replaced my reg 5man Toc trinket. Now I just need the non-heroic version so I can get rid of my Grim Toll.

Maz goes scary bear occasionally until we beg him to bring back the Kate pic.

Its cyclical.

Yay, 1 week later and my raid group finally finds a compromise to our loot rules. Like all good compromises it makes everyone upset. We lose one guy cause we're not taking raiding serious enough, and 2 because we've gotten too hardcore... go figure.

Anyway, we had fun stomping naxx last night with some new members. All went well till we got to Thaddius and everyone kinda got put on the spot with the positive/negative thing. One of them never got it, and the new tree raid healer was convinced healing touch rocked. But whatever, that fight always gets better as the people crossing charges kill themselves off... just glad I was OTing. Here's to mindless fun!

Ever since I stopped grinding heroics, the amount of failbad PUGs have dropped like a rock and so has my nerd rage.

Rampaging teddy is usually brought out when I encounter failPUGs.

Edit: How about this cropped? It's Schindler-ish with the red color popping out like that.

Heh, I thought of a Stephanie Meyer cover when I saw that... maybe that is also because Twilight is its own little cult in 7/8th grade here.

which on deviantArt, prompted someone to make this incredibly poignant piece on twilight moms

its so true its sad.

and thanks for the stories and support guys. i can always count on y'all. we need to have a "alla duridz get together and get crunk" day one day.

Yeah, about that, I was thinking sometime in 2013 when I've got my education and can afford the $800 a plane ticket costs. Smiley: wink

oh yeah, well have to wait for sure. this grad school thing is kicking my ***, and even after i graduate i still have another 4 or 5 years of interning before i start making real money.

which, at that point, ill be in my 30's, so either my beer tolerance will have gone way up, or ill have the diabetes.

I still don't have the diabetes somehow.

So I've gone over to the dark side and am a giant cow. On Durotan, of all places. I switched my druid to my g/f's server after getting sick of the crappy attitude from so many people in my raiding guild. For ***** and giggles, I was looking for a ToC pug tonight to kill time. The RL asks for stats and exp, so I link him my 3/5 ToGC 25 achievement and some of my kitty stats. Apparently, he needs to l2Feral, because another Feral druid tried to tell me I should prioritize Exp over Agi, ArP, and crit. Rather than argue with someone that's obviously an idiot, I went looking for a group for heroics. :P

ToC pugs are serious business.

We did an interesting ToGC run earlier today. We brought one of our raid healers, our MT and myself. We also brought what we thought was 5k DPS per DPS slot. That turned out to not be the case.

It was fun, though, and as a tank in a guild that's barely got ToC10 on farm status, it was very interesting. We learned that stuff hits hard, but not too hard. We also learned that I'm a toxin magnet and probably shouldn't tank the mobile worm anymore. I got hit by the toxin twice in a row and the second time there was no one with the flame debuff. Seriously, no one. Apparently Dreadscale felt like wiping us or something. I was down to a crawl when finally someone got the flame debuff, but before he could run to me, he got knocked the hell back by one of the worms and into a slime pool.

Yeah.

Oh, but I did take Icehowl from 21-20% on my own after he enraged, hehe. He did the Massive Crash just after having pwned our raid and I got to beat on him alone while he was stunned. And I also had a fail incident on the Worms where I, after having tanked the immobile worm for so long got to tank the mobile one when I got poisoned. I turned around to find whoever had the flame debuff and Dreadscale did his breath thing and we wiped. My bad.

Oh yeah, the reason I brought it up was player behavior. After our raid healer had to leave because she was feeling sick, a PUG hunter started calling her names (****** and idiot) for not moving our of fires fast enough (because a hunter should worry about healers when he's doing 4k instead of 5k raid-buffed like he said?). That's the closest I've ever been to ditching a raid right then and there. This server is very hostile and I see now why two of our old members switched servers.

I just can't afford paying for 8 server transfers at the moment, bleh. Smiley: tongue

Well, he might pull 5k in a 25-man, fully raid buffed. Chances are, in a pug 10-man, you're missing buffs. Also, there's a lot of "not pewpewing stuff" time on Northrend Beasts that can ***** with your overall DPS if your active time is artificially high due to DoTs ticking. I should see what my gearscore is on my Druid now, just for ***** and giggles. After I gem and enchant my new gear. 4t9, finally. The one redeeming trait to being horde now, so far, is that the druid tier and my goofy spear alliance side look much nicer horde-side. Having to go through the AT dailies all over again really sucks, though.

Ouch, I thought they moved your rep over to your new factions. All the AT dailies?

Good thing I'm not doing those religiously.

Rep, yes. Quest chains for phasing, not so much. AT, Ebon Blade, Sons of Hodir, and Argent Crusade.

So liek I ran my stuff through Rawr and even when I mark all 4 T9(245) pieces available for optimizing it comes back pretty steadily with 2t8(hands pants)+2t9(head shoulders); this normal?

(I have a knightbane carapace so didn't mark the chest)

For feral dps I assume?

2pcT9 is best for head/shoulders. The offset pieces are better than the other pieces of T9 as well as 2pc T8 once you reach a certain gear level (most pieces 232+)

Yeah I just haven't seen others drop yet/they've gone to other people. Just making sure I wasn't going crazy, good news for me then since I only need 1 more trophy (and requisite badges) and I can 4t9 up my tank spec instead :)

I have 4pcT9 and stacking agi at the moment so I thought that I would put all of my gear options into Rawr (thanks again for telling me how to put in the gemming table) last night. It suggested as Galen said head and shoulders from T9 and the rest offset pieces. To my surprise it even suggested I now gem for ArP without equipping Grim Toll (I assume this is due to the wasted passive hit) but if I get my hands on the new one from the new 5 man HC dungeon or the one from 10 man Hard Mode Thorim it says that I should equip one of those.

I am loving T10 and once it is out (by all accounts tomorrow) and available I will be going back to ArP stacking :)

As a side note, do you have threat problems when pallies are tanking? I can give our tanks 10 seconds head start maybe more and I will still get close or even overtake them on threat. Last night I was running round in circles (as you do) at the back to give the tank some room to build up a bit of a lead and then once I get going I start to overtake him :( A warrior tank tanked Anub in our 25 man run and I couldn't overtake him, granted there are more hunters and/or rogues using tricks of the trade and MD but I still find it frustrating :(

What kind of TPS are you seeing?

Easiest fix here is just get your Hunters and Rogues to set up some Misdirect/Tricks macros, use them anytime they're up.

Barring that, maybe the Paladin is missing some part of his rotation, or if he's not as geared as you it could make a difference. I have trouble in heroics with some of our lesser geared tanks but our usual Pally+DK raid tanks aren't a problem.

Ferals pull aggro from me all the time.

Really, as bad as Arms Warriors are on group pulls, Ferals just blow me out of the water on single targets. No threat reduction coupled with some pretty insane DPS leads to that.

Not that Ferals aren't a pain on group pulls either. Swipe really needs a threat modifier for Bear/Cat form.

I will have to look at what the tanks TPS is and what mine is. I know it does go a little bit on the high side when I pop berserk and get to shred FTW :) Gear is at about the same level so I would say he is prioritising something wrong in his 969 (if he is sticking to this) rotation.

The change to the way AOE works may help you out on this or it may be counterintuitive in that it reduces the threat generated by a bears swipe on packs.

It's 10+ mobs, though, so it'll hardly be a matter of importance most of the time.

On another note, has anyone tried out Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation or w/e it's called? It says haste now affects the time between ticks, but does this translate into "reduces duration" or does it mean we get more ticks per Rejuvenation?

15 seconds, one tick every 3 seconds, right?

At 20% spell haste, it would be 12 seconds, one tick every 3 seconds, or 15 seconds, one tick every 2.4 seconds?

If you have something that ticks every 3 seconds for 15 seconds, you get 5 ticks. If it ticks every 2.4 seconds for 15 seconds, you get 6.25 ticks. Here's my question: What the hell happens to the last quarter of a tick? Does it round down to whole numbers? Tough if you get 6.9 ticks. You'll get 6 instead of 7.

Assuming it works like the haste change for shadowform, it makes the ticks come faster. So you end up with a shorter duration on the spell, but the same global healing value (which, really, in the grand scheme of things, makes more sense from a "keep things alive" point of view).
