ToC pugs are serious business.
We did an interesting ToGC run earlier today. We brought one of our raid healers, our MT and myself. We also brought what we thought was 5k DPS per DPS slot. That turned out to not be the case.
It was fun, though, and as a tank in a guild that's barely got ToC10 on farm status, it was very interesting. We learned that stuff hits hard, but not too hard. We also learned that I'm a toxin magnet and probably shouldn't tank the mobile worm anymore. I got hit by the toxin twice in a row and the second time there was no one with the flame debuff. Seriously, no one. Apparently Dreadscale felt like wiping us or something. I was down to a crawl when finally someone got the flame debuff, but before he could run to me, he got knocked the hell back by one of the worms and into a slime pool.
Yeah.
Oh, but I did take Icehowl from 21-20% on my own after he enraged, hehe. He did the Massive Crash just after having pwned our raid and I got to beat on him alone while he was stunned. And I also had a fail incident on the Worms where I, after having tanked the immobile worm for so long got to tank the mobile one when I got poisoned. I turned around to find whoever had the flame debuff and Dreadscale did his breath thing and we wiped. My bad.
Oh yeah, the reason I brought it up was player behavior. After our raid healer had to leave because she was feeling sick, a PUG hunter started calling her names (****** and idiot) for not moving our of fires fast enough (because a hunter should worry about healers when he's doing 4k instead of 5k raid-buffed like he said?). That's the closest I've ever been to ditching a raid right then and there. This server is very hostile and I see now why two of our old members switched servers.
I just can't afford paying for 8 server transfers at the moment, bleh.
