My guild downed Spine for the first time tonight. We did boat the first time yesterday. Got a few tries on Madness but didn't get off the first platform.

Should turn into a kill in a week or 2.

On a sidenote, I like how in less than 1.5 years this thread gained about 10000 posts.

OMG new beerstyle I hadn't had yet!
Urthel Saissonière, a Saison or farmhouse ale.
Saison means season, if you hadn't guessed that yet, and is called that because farmwers in Belgium used to brew these kind of beers in the winter when there was less to do on the farm and were made to be consumed during the summer.
It's really fruity and spicy which I hadn't expected because it looks so much like your average pale ale. The alcohol is really noticable considering the modest 6% but it's fresh and different and definitely a beer I'm going to be buying more of.

Edit: It's like a mix between a strong pale ale and a gueuze, it's really quite brilliant and a beer you could actually drink quickly without hurting yourself. A good thing since it's practically begging me to drink it all like, right now.

That's one of my all-time favorite songs, Aeth. Love it.

Also, she's hot as hell.

Speaking of Joan Jett, this mash-up is the most awesome thing ever.

Wait, I take that back. This one is.

No, wait, this one!

It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or the fourteenth.

There's a 3 liter Duvel glass.
I'd love to get one but then I'd have to fill it up with 9 bottles of Duvel and if I drink all that I'm not sure I'll live to tell the tale or if I'd even want to given the potential hangover after 3 liters of Duvel.

Also, listening to Joan Jett has made me realize that I really need a pair of leather pants.
Mister B has some nice ones but sadly those are so so expensive Smiley: frown

So, interesting turn of events for my guild... Our main progression group, which is currently 5/8 heroic, has decided to jump the Horde ship and transfer to Alliance, joining the Non-Combat Pet guild. Their reasoning for this is that there are simply not enough progression raiders of their caliber to recruit on Horde side. Also, there seems to be a lot of resentment between some of the other progression groups and their group. I don't have any resentment against the group as a whole, just certain members of the group that are ***-hats. Okay, really only one, but that's besides the point.

If they're asshats, then they'll fit in with NCP just fine. Our current GM I think joined them for all of about 2 days, then came back to us.

Not all of them are. Some of them can be a bit hard on you if you don't perform to their standards, but all in all they're good people and helpful if you ask them questions about a class/spec/role they play. There's just one member in particular that I have an issue with. He used to be part of one of the other progression groups, and then he was a cool guy. He's run pugs and invite other guildies along, and he was fun to hang out with. After he joined the main progression group though, he developed this holier than thou attitude and severely pissed me and several other people off. I really think that he is part of the reason people started to get resentful of that group. Of course, I won't deny that part of my dislike for him came from him making fun of me for playing a frost mage. His main is a mage, so of course he was an expert. Smiley: rolleyes Other guildies made fun of me, but I took it in good stride because I knew it was in fun. Plus I could actually have an intellectual conversation with them about theorycrafting. Where with him, he'd just go "lol you're a frost mage!" It was very infuriating. His name is Trixxby btw, in case you want to avoid him. He trolls the server forum quite a bit too.

It's a good song, but the distortion they put in it is annoying as crap if you're wearing headphones.

I also prefer Cash's version.

Great song but you've got the wrong version.
This is how it's supposed to be:

And yes, I know the Johnny Cash covered it and that NiN are the original authors, it's just that in this case the cover is much better than the original.

I actually don't really like Cash's version.

I can't find the interview now, but wikipedia has a quote from Reznor where he said, "I pop the video in, and wow... Tears welling, silence, goose-bumps... Wow. [I felt like] I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore..."

That's a hell of a statement.

I don't like Johnny Cash period, but it's nothing against him personally. I just don't like that style of music or singing. I don't like Elvis either.

I don't like Elvis either, but not because of his music per se. I don't like him because he took beautiful music and made it safe for white people, completely pussifying it in the process. Cash stayed (fairly) true to gospel roots.

This is pretty much my opinion too. I'm just not a huge country or country-ish fan, and Cash falls into that category for me.
