To be fair, I'm already resolved to overtake my two classroom friends' grades (they are the two people I talk to the most by a long shot and they both got a 90% or so average this semester).
The thing is, I anticipate a 10% drop between this year and graduation, and both of the postgrads I'm really interested in are super competitive (read: accept 20 or so students and prefer non-EU students). Which means I need more than an A average to get in, and I'm currently not really achieving much more than that. I'm taking into account that I skipped a year, but that still doesn't mean I won't have to work harder.
There are a few other viable postgrad options, but they might be even harder to get into and will actually put me into noticeable debt.
I've tried estimating my debt for my undergrad and for this year, I should be able to keep it below £1000; my total student debt caps at 10 grand anyway, but I'd like to keep it lower. Say, under 5k.
Other thing: So it's my flatmates' wedding anniversary today and they told their friends that I got all these A's and one of them has decided that I now need to take all of them out for a meal. That's at least 20% of my spending money for next month gone, and I need to pay for my Pak visa... ugh.
When the waiter/waitress comes out with the bill, tell him/her that the meal will be on separate checks.
