So I'm drinking a
Kriek Boon at the moment.
The bottle is green and has a cork like a bottle of fancy champagne, the beer itself is red like wine with a pink head that disappears quickly and leaves a little lacing on the glass.
It smells like cherry pie with some alcohol and a bit of hop. Actually smells more like wine than beer.
The taste is similar to the smell, fresh, very sweet (but not in an artificial way) and cherries rule.
There's plenty of carbonation and it feels exactly like a champagne, easy to drink but a bit watery.
All in all, I don't think this is a style of beer I'll really enjoy but with some hot weather and fresh fruit to go with it works out quite nicely.
