It'd only be 5 grand for me.

You may receive up to $17,500 in loan forgiveness if, as certified by the Chief Administrative Officer of the school where you were employed, you were:
A highly qualified full-time mathematics or science teacher in an eligible secondary school; or
A highly qualified special education teacher whose primary responsibility was to provide special education to children with disabilities, and you taught children with disabilities that corresponded to your area of special education training and have demonstrated knowledge and teaching skills in the content areas of the curriculum that you taught.
I want to be an English teacher, so I get punished because science and math teachers are in higher demand. Too bad I hate math and really only like Biology out of the sciences. I already knew about that program, but thanks for the heads up Astarin.
Also, I meant to post earlier that I talked to my friend earlier this evening, and his offer for me to stay with him for a while is still up. So I won't be homeless. =x Downsides are it's a good deal farther away from campus than where I am now, and he warned me that he's a nudist at home (really don't want to see that, but oh well), but it's definitely better than nothing. Didn't want people worrying about me.
