Woot! Got my iLvl 245 gloves from VOA last night to get my 2 piece. WTB more trophys to spend my 160+ triumph badges.
Actually, the one thing I want to drop more than anything is Mjolnir's Runestone. GrimToll is giving me permanent hit cap problems and devaluing some of the other gear I have with hit on it.
Loving having over 10k AP and 60% crit while still gemmed for ArPen though (for those checking, yes I should probably switch back to Agi, but I don't want to spend the cash atm
)

i didnt know it was the everclear variety at the time, so after my fourth of fifth shot and third beer, i grab a jug (literally, a three gallon jug) of the stuff, hop in the jacuzzi and go to town. about a sixth of the way thru the jug a friend of mine comes up and says "you know thats got everclear in it right?"
....no. i did not know that, for if i had known that, i wouldnt have pounded a half gallon of it while sitting inside a very hot jacuzzi.

Heroic Jaraxxas, plus the 360 painspike achievement on accident. Jaraxxas was at 1.3 mil when the last portal spawned, so we just burned the boss and ignored the portal and mistresses. The second one spawned just a couple seconds before we killed him.
Oh, and I got this. First piece of 258 gear.

We got that achievement by accident last night too :) We learnt the hard way the night before to kill the portal at least then go back on the boss, even if he is at low health. He wasn't quite low enough and we wiped at 1% with about 10 mistresses running around. Last night, we switched to the portal then back to the boss and ignored the 2 mistresses up. It only takes 10 secs to burn the portal, and ensures you finish :)
Oh, and I got another trophy. That'll be my 3rd piece, but will mean I have to break my 2pc T8.5, so basically the trophy will just have to sit in my inventory until I get another one :(

ToGC 25 Faction Champions after only 7 or 8 attempts last night. No feral drops though. It's amazing what a decent guild can do when people show the f*** up on raid night and we don't have 3-4 d/c's every fight.

Due to problems with a certain resto druid who had stolen my spot while I stopped raiding for a while tonight was the first time that I stepped into ToC 10 man, from faction champs onwards.
It wasn't as hectic and chaotic as you guys made it out to be, but still a lot of fun.
Although I was a healer in a CC heavy raid, so all I had to do was heal everything.
All in all a fun night, and I walked away with this staff and enough badges to immediately buy free spellpower.
Not quite TotGC, but an achievement for me nonetheless

Ran ToC10 last night with some guildies that missed the Tuesday run and a few PuGs. Got me some shoulders.
After trying it last week on hard mode, regular mode seems kind of easy. Can't wait until we do hard mode on Sunday. I think we will drop Jax this week and get a crack at the Champs.
What has everyone been doing on hard Champions?

sad Galen is sad. 2nd shift is killing my raiding. I missed all 3 guild Toc 10 regular runs this week. Missed the ToC 10 heroic attempts and when I tried to do ToC 10 regular last night with a few guildies on alts and a few pugs, it was epic fail. Only downed first boss. Was sad after it took me 37 minutes to clear the whole thing last week.
My gear is starting to fall behind as a result. I probably would have x-ferred servers to Arex's guild if I had gotten off second shift, but I can't make raid times right now for any guilds. Meh. Irritation is what I haz.
It's frustrating to feel like I'm capping out in the 6kish range even though I feel that's good for the gear I have. I watched a druid from one of the top guilds on the server hitting over 8k the other day. /wrists
EDIT: I've gotten to the point where I'm upgrading my offset tank spec gear because I'm at a standstill with my dps gear. I can't replace 2pc T8 until I get a full set of T9 as well as the offtier pieces to test out for max dps.

I've actually only done ToGC on 25-man, so what we do will be a little different. We have a frost DK using Hungering Cold every time it's off CD. We put a Prot warrior on the pally for interrupts, and a combat rogue on the disc priest. Enhance shammy on the main DPS target to purge shields and hots. Warlock on the resto druid to keep him banished and feared.
Burn order went like this:
1) Disc Priest, instant shields, instant hots, general PITA
2) Enhance Shaman, tremor totem sucks
3) melee on the rogue, ranged on the warrior
All this time, we had a mage+warlock on the mage and warlock, alternating chain-sheep and chain fear, + frost stuns and death coil
If you have an extra DK (we don't at this point), use them to Chains of Ice spam a melee and try and kite them around the arena.
Balance and Resto druids root / cyclone melee until DR kicks in.
At the start of the pull, we had our prot warrior pop shield wall and charge in and shockwave, then Challenging shout and Intimidating Shout. That way, all the mobs burn their PvP trinket. Our DK death gripped the disc priest, then ran in and hit Hungering cold so we had a good 10 sec of everyone burning the priest.
If all this seems confusing as hell, it's because the fight is, well, confusing as hell. Melee hits a lot harder now and can blow up a cloth class in just a couple seconds. I somehow had 3 melee aggro me at once when we were burning the rogue, only lived because I went bear and had a holy pally spam HL me until CC was off DR.

Hmm, that charge idea with the prot warrior sounds pretty awesome. As does the hungering cold with the frost dk.

You don't actually need PvP gear, it's more that the way the fight works is based on a PvP arena match.
On 10 man you have 6 opponents with roughly 400K health.
They cast CC, Interrupts, heals the lot.
The idea is to act like you would in an arena match. Lock down some opponents with CC, interrupt others spells/heals and burn down the healers quickly.
It was the first fight I did in ToC and it's a blast. Hectic, but a lot of fun...

Since Resil is useless in PvE now, PvP gear won't help any. There are... a lot of them on 25-man. And they all have over 3 mil health on ToGC. Like 2.6 mil on ToC 25. Taunts work for a couple seconds, but are on DR like other forms of CC.
