I wonder if she got the "acute" line. =x My guess is no. And I wish the issues I was having right now were "women's problems." They're annoying, but I'm used to dealing with them. My issues are more digestive track related.

Ohh.

In that case, I hope you get better soon. Did you have dodgy food?

I don't know. My diet hasn't been great, so that probably doesn't help. It's been happening on and off for the last two weeks.

More fiber is good.

So basically Pigtails needs to go buy a bunch of bananas and tease her boyfriend while eating them. Smiley: tongue

lol if only that would work. Well, it'd work on one of them. J doesn't care for BJ's. He's weird.

I ate a lot of rice, that seems to have helped, for now. Varied and healthy diets are all well and good, but money is still an issue. I do the best I can. =/

Look for a place where the vegetables are cheap.
The turkish store I buy most of my vegetables at they literally only cost half of what they'd cost me in a supermarket and if you've got cheap vegetables you're close to eating varied and healthy.
Vegetables + rice/pasta/potatoes + mince/chicken = cheap and good food.

It also helps that I just don't like fast food much.

White rice or brown rice? White is more delicious but brown is better for you and has way more fiber.

I ate white jasmine rice, because I had cooked some the night before and had leftover. We do have brown rice as well, it's just hard to get J to eat brown starches vs. white starches. I have the same issue with him on whole wheat pasta.

I have no idea. I agree that jasmine rice tastes better than brown rice, but I actually like the flavor of whole wheat pasta better than the normal kind. He's just strange. =x

Brown rice tastes way different. The texture is also not the same.

You can tell him on my behalf that he needs to quit his *********

Also, the internet is a brilliant tool for helping you find healthy recipes with whatever vegetable is cheap at the moment. Bugging Xsarus works as well Smiley: nod

Also Horse, I know brown and white rice taste differently but they both still mianly taste like rice, close enough that it makes little sense to me that someone likes one but refuses to eat the other.

For sure but when you add gravy to the mix brown rice just doesn't cut it.

Gravy is not something you just mix with random stuff. It's not meant for that.
It's meant to go with potatoes.

I had gravy on my rice for lunch today. Was awesome. Chicken cutlet; chicken katsu with gravy, rice and mac salad.

I get Hamburger Steak sometimes which is rice, a couple 2-3 hamburger patty, some mac salad and choke gravy.

Or can get Loco Moco for breakfast, which is a bed of rice with some hamburger patty and a egg on the patty covered in gravy.

The amount of hamburger varies by place as some get more thin patty or 1 thicker patty.

Gravy + rice = awesome. True story.

Rice without some kind of sauce is just horribly boring.

Also, don't buy the cheapest vegetables you can find. As with all raw food, quality > quantity when it comes to vegetables.

VTEC says hello.

The cheap vegetables from the Cash & Carry tend to be much higher quality than the expensive ones from the supermarket, though. The same goes for their chicken.

And rice can be made awesome with onions, ginger, chili, haldi, jeera, garam masala, cardamom, dhanya, cloves and pepper. Add some bell pepper, tinned tomato and possibly chicken and you have awesome food. Also salt. Mmmh salt.
The only downside of this is that haldi stains are awful. Like, you put in one teaspoon of the stuff and suddenly your hands are yellow and so is the front of your shirt. (I am currently wearing a shirt with haldi stains. I will change out of it shortly.)
