Aethien, you take more terrible pictures than a Japanese tourist.

Isn't that right, Protein?

True, I don't show the bad ones though. Smiley: tongue

And talking about photography, I just got the book of Stephan Vanfleteren in the series of great photographers that a Dutch newspaper is releasing. The books are thin (Only 20 pages or so) but 35x42cm if I recall correctly so the photos are in a beautiful large size that really makes the photos shine.

Also, Stephan Vanfleteren is probably the best portrait photographer out there at the moment. He's also Flemish which automatically gives him +3 awesome.
I recommend checking out his portfolio even if you're not into photography. He has made so many mind blowing photos it's worth checking out. Especially his series 'Flandrien' and 'Hobo's in the USA'

I've heard as much...

Not that I do any better, but that never stops me from trying:

Interesting.

It seems the distance from Honolulu to Beijing is actually greater than the distance from Copenhagen. And that means that Demark is much closer to some parts of China...

Of course, I'd bet there are way more Asians (immigrant or American) living in Hawaii than in Denmark.

I tried to check Seoul, since we are talking about Korean food, but it wouldn't work. :(

[EDIT]

Also, OMG DUCKIES SO CUTE OMG OMG OMG

Lol, I'm sure. If I ever get the cash to visit my friends there, I might actually get a chance to use the Japanese I spent two years studying.

If I had Aethien in my phone, this would be his ring tone. I do not know why.

As per Wolfram Alpha, the distance from Seoul to Copenhagen is 7962km, Seoul - Honolulu is 7324km, so slightly less.

No excuses for lack of Asian food then. Nope, nope, nope.

It's delicious, and as such the lack of Asians in Denmark shouldn't be an issue.

In other news, I just went crazy downloading ringtones. I'm currently debating between male version of Cascada's Bad Boys, the Rainbow Unicorn Attack song, and the Powderpuff Girls theme song...

What is it that links me to robotic sounding chipmunks? Smiley: frown

Edit: for the record, I don't mind that it's a love song. If you had linked to something like Queen's Innuendo, The Darkness I Believe In A Thing Called Love or something similar I would have PM'd you my phone nr just for the lulz.

Would you prefer the original?

How about a GaGa rock remix?

Or maybe a metal Imperial March?

You know that's actually a remix, too, don't you?

And everything in Denmark is expensive. I paid 80kr for my hairbrush. :(

Robot Unicorn Attack is awesome, mostly because of the song but also partly for the rainbows and sparklies and unicorns. =x

I haven't been taking too many fancy shots lately, I think I linked my macro photos right? My fun album is here, the lighter shots are a recent, and the bread is also, although I'm more proud of the bread for being awesome then anything special about the actual pictures.

I tried for ages to get that tree shot, but it was too windy, and that was the best shot I got.

this is a decent one, although it's been run through the facebook converter so the quality is all shot. I probably should have used a smaller aperture.

Hey xsarus, can you do me a favor? I got an email saying I won the CoH contest (which I mentioned in this thread already), and it wants me to send an image of my driver's license to ensure I live in the US. But I've never heard of the mod who sent the email before, and don't really want to go emailing personal information to whoever asks for it. :P

Could you confirm that I actually did win and that this is legit?

I glanced around the site, but couldn't find anything.

Not that this confirms the email was really sent by him (or her?), but there is someone by that name listed at the bottom of this page.

For photographers, this seems pretty cool

I might have to preorder one.

I wouldn't bother with it to be honest.
A high quality shoulder strap (BlackRapid RS-7 for example) will keep your camera securely in place on your hip without the rigidity of a clip system and it will allow you to grab the camera without delay whilst also keeping it safe when you're shooting and that's my biggest issue with this clip system. As soon as you take your camera off of the clip system it's not doing anything anymore while a shoulder strap still protects it from falling.

$10-15 extra is a small price to pay for flexibility and safety while shooting if you're handling a thousand dollars (or more) worth of equipment.

You could combine it with a strap, the hookup attachment has tabs for a strap. I also like that it's compatible with the arca-swiss system for tripods.

The BlackRapid RS-7 does look cool though.
