I was thinking of her wearing the strapon because she said reversing the roles. Although it could be just crossdressing I guess.

And studying here is much cheaper than America, if you're Dutch anyway. The government pretty much pays for my expenses through student financing. Although I'll have to pay back part of it, as long as I get the degree the amount I have to pay back isn't such a big deal. I have no idea how exactly it would work for non EU students.
Housing can be sickeningly expensive depending on where you want to live but if you can afford an apartment it's not that bad anymore. In part because of help from the government depending on your income and rent (dno if that would count for someone who isn't Dutch though).
Gas is really expensive though, but driving a car isn't a necessity here since public transport is fairly good and you can cycle for small distances. (plus, with about 3-4 hours driving you'd go from one end of the country to the other Smiley: lol)
Hmm, let's see.. what else do we have... Oh right, health insurance is pretty cheap here I think, it's also mandatory so that helps keep the cost down.

Anyways, getting off track again...
While moving here is probably not really doable (especially the boyfriend part I think) if you're ever near here for vacation or anything, let me know Smiley: sly
And I think I wouldn't be able to share, way too complicated.

You and your silly measures. What is 5'1" in centimeters? I know I measure 176 centimeters. Pretty medium, I suppose.

5'1" is 155cm.

And Americans are not all that welcome, unfortunately. I'm pretty sure you'd get no support from the government. In the UK, you'd at least get some free healthcare.

Druids, specifically Moonkins and Resto, are being hit with Nerf bat in the 4.2 ptr notes:

Insect Swarm now generates 8 Lunar Energy for druids with Eclipse.
Moonfire now generates 8 Solar Power for druids with Eclipse.
Sunfire now generates 8 Lunar Energy for druids with Eclipse
Innervate now grants an ally target 5% of his or her maximum mana over 10 seconds, but still grants 20% of the druid's maximum mana over 10 seconds when self-cast.

I can understand the reason behind the changes, but I dont think Blizzard actually realizes what the first 3 changes will make to Moonkin. We will be back to WotLK where movement in fights will make us useless making Lunar Shower useless. I wont cast Moonfire anymore if I'm in Eclipse and, for some reason, I have to move.
And, it seens, we will have to go back and use Hurricane. Maybe, even, talent it.
Blergh, did not like it.

Oh, and the Innervate change. Not cool, I liked to trade it.

Is a PvP-based change but wont DoTing all the mobs up still be better DPS than Hurricane? Solar was fairly awesome for AoE and is getting nerfed a bit but how do the changes really impact movement?

Also the 8s should be 4s IMO.

I know its a pvp thing as much as the Starsurge nerf.
But, exactly as that nerf, it will affect us negativelly in PvE, as it's usual with PvP changes for Druids.

And, no, multi dotting isnt good anymore. Well, at least, if its going to work the way most people think it will, meaning you will lose power if you are eclipsed, you wont gain power if you are not eclipsed.

Multi-Dotting wont be good anymore because you have to keep Solar Eclipse up for the buff on Wild Mushrooms. If you Multi-Dott, you will lose the Eclipse, thus making Wild Mushrooms weaker. So, our aoe rotation will change back to WM, Starfall and Hurricane/Typhoon.

Movement will be impacted because of Lunar Shower. Right now, if you have to move, you cast moonfire, since 3 stacked Lunar Shower buff is pretty good. It wont be anymore, since it will make you lose Eclipse power while only doing a small damage, the inicial damage of moonfire. So, it makes Lunar Shower while eclipsed bad, dragging us back to WotLK. If you are not in eclipse, Lunar Shower is still better than nothing, but isnt as powerfull as a eclipsed Moonfire/Starfire is right now and, maybe, it wont even be a good option if you are going to clip a Eclipsed Moonfire/Starfire.

And that, actually, goes against what Blizzard said they wanted to do, that is, not making rotation over complicated. But I guess they will just keep doing the opposit of they say they want throughout the hole expansion, as with bears tanks.

Edit: Add to the complication of rotation the 4T11 critical buff, where you dont want it to be wasted in useless crit dots. Welcome to the world of over complication.

Okay, that's it... I'm main switching to my priest in 4.2. I don't care if I'm going to have to compete with at least three other people in my raid group for gear. AoE as a SP is so much simpler with multi dotting and Mind Sear. And the rotation is just as fun and just as much a priority system. And I can still heal for my off spec. The raid would lose my combat rez, but one of the mages is switching to a lock anyways, so we'll still have the same amount.

As for moving to Europe, you mean I won't get props for moving because I hate my country's political system and how conservative all the politicians are? My mom will get all worried if I did that too. A few years back when I was dating a guy from the UK I met while playing FFXI, she was so worried I was going to move over there and give up my US citizenship. And that would be a TERRIBLE thing, because civil liberties in the UK are just so much worse than they are in the US don'tcha know... I love my mother, but she's a typical American in that she has no idea what the world is like outside of this country.
#5593 May 03 2011 at 5:33 PM Rating: Good
UK citizenship requires you to live in the country for 3 years, pay £1000, pass a test and swear to the crown. I might still get it if I'm still here in 2016.

It's just that you have limited perks as a non-EEA citizen. It won't be worse than in the US, certainly, but you can't take advantage of the European system as easily. University is £12000 a year or so, too, and you won't be able to get an interest free loans and we do not have a lot of scholarships like you do in the US.

I personally wouldn't move countries without some degree of social security. Europe is expensive, the UK more so than most of it, and while it is absolutely lovely I wouldn't have done it as readily had I not had all the rights of a British citizen and more (because I still retain some of my rights in Germany).
Now, my plan to move to Pakistan was only ever a plan because I could get funding for living there for my first year, and that would be enough to last me four years there, because living in Pakistan is insanely cheap; everything there is.

Honestly, Americans don't need to leave their country. It's the only country I can think of that you can go on holiday inside of your own country, and get a completely different experience. That's probably due to how large it is.

Also, I hate american politics. It's confusing as hell, all I've really gleaned from it is that the Republicans hate poor people,or at least helping them have a few nice things in life for a little extra coming out of their pocket, or so it seems. Similar to the British Conservatives. That, and almost every politician is a bible thumping idiot. Also, this just popped in my head, but can the President of the United States be an Atheist? 'Cause the whole "one nation under god" ******** is totally stupid.

What happened to your sig, Rare?

I got what I deserved. Was getting real bored with the game (only so many heroics you feel like running on so many toons when there is a 40min wait between queues for DPS and nothing to do but hang in Org) so I started looking at filling out some of my achievements. Started working on the fishing ones and discovered that the five "bloated" fish required for the Oceanographer & Limnologist achievements average over 1000 casts per catch.

I went to the dark side and used a bot to automate the fishing (including unattended). Also played around with the bots archaeology mode (attended) and got banned by Blizzard. A little unlucky that Blizzard insta-banned as usually they gave 3 day bans first apparently but it's not like I can complain when I was the one in the wrong.

It does annoy me (perhaps a littly hypocritically) that Blizz banned all the archaelology users. There are people on the bot forums saying that their main account got banned but the 10 accounts they run 24/7 herbing & mining to make gold to sell to websites are all still running away fine.

When the ban came, I just couldn't get upset about it as I really had lost enjoyment in the game. I cancelled my second account and had about 6 weeks off. Played several other games ($300 worth in under a month) and watched TV as well as caught up with stuff I had been meaning to do for ages - and spent extra time with my wife. I still kept coming here every day though :)

Renewed my 2nd account 2-3 days ago now and am going to keep my play time low, avoid relapsing into my altaholic lifestyle and prepare for our baby coming in August. I'm disappointed I went to the dark side, but my biggest regret now is that I last logged out Rarebeast in his resto gear and spec. Having been a die-hard feral through thick and thin since early in vanilla, it just doesn't seem right to have him frozen in time on armory as a resto druid.

***EDIT***

Oh and for a bit of irony, Blizz removed those bloated fish from those achievements in 4.1 !!

In other news, I finally confirmed my university choice today and sent off my SAAS* application.

Seriously... Democrats are just less conservative than the Republican'ts are. As far as I can tell, the only politican that really represents what I want in this country is Dennis Kucinich, who is never going to get elected for anything other than a Rep because he's too liberal for the rest of the idiots.

Also, don't tell me I don't need to leave the country. Sure I don't NEED to, but that doesn't change the fact that I want to. It has nothing to do with where I can go on vacation. For one, I don't get vacations. I get periods of not going to school where I stay home and do nothing because I can't find work during the summer and I can't afford to do anything. The only way I was able to play WoW last summer is because I was lucky enough to get into the beta, and once you got your invite you didn't have to continue to pay your subscription for your live account. I'm not one of those lucky people that have Mommy and Daddy paying for everything, and can afford to go back packing through Europe in the summer.

I just want to live somewhere where everyone has health care when they need it, the government doesn't try to tell me what I can and can't do with my body, and I won't be judged so harshly for my religious and relationship choices. Plus I do believe that the Netherlands is the one country where multiple marriages are legal. That's definitely a huge plus for me considering I'm poly.

To be fair, I haven't left the country since I moved back from the US. I haven't left the Schengen area (or even the EU) since then.

Health care in the Netherlands isn't free. It's just really cheap. In the UK and a few other places like Sweden, it's included in your taxes. I think if you're not a UK/EU-EEA citizen you have slightly less access to it here (mostly you won't be able to claim cosmetic surgery and stuff), but it's still a lot better than it is for you now, I imagine.

You don't actually speak Dutch, do you? It wouldn't be a problem as far as finding work goes, but it probably would be if you wanted citizenship. In that respect, the UK is better, you are a native speaker in the national language! ;)
I should convince you to come to Scotland. :D

We really don't have a lot of scholarships--nearly everyone attends school via federal or state loans, really. And the scholarships that do exist are generally in very small denominations, like $500. Very helpful, but it won't be the deciding factor about whether or not you go to school.

Now, if you can get into Harvard, you WILL be able to afford to go. They have an amazing financial aid program that scales heavily to meet your family's income. But they can afford to do that because they make a ton of money, and receive a lot of donations.

Other than that, though, you're generally just accruing debt. And it's highly unlikely you'll get interest free loans--even our gov't loans have interest. There may be some without, but they aren't the kind that are widely available.

[EDIT]
I've actually been trying to figure out if it would be plausible for me to move overseas. I'm going to have an undergraduate degree in History and Philosophy, and a Masters in Education (both from Rutgers). But I don't know how they'll be considered elsewhere.

Actually, UK loans are "adjusted for inflation", so they're not technically interest free.

German loans cap at €10,000, and everything above that is free money. If your parents are poor enough, you'll get about €4,000 a year in loans, so if you do a full degree, you end up capping your loan. You'll still receive the money, you just won't make more debt.
