I find it somewhat amusing that cigarettes are called '****' and the filter stumps 'butts'.

Also, Pigtails, I went to my old elementary school to get an internship thingy for next year and some of my old teachers thought I was there to enlist my kids. Turns out, a lot of my old school mates are married with kids now.

That amused me a lot at York. At London you are actually pretty much invited to drop your cigarrette on the streets, since there are almost no trash bins at all.

That's not that short, it's only an inch under the average for women. Here in the US anyways. I'm only 5'1". My step-sister, who is 8 years younger than me, has been taller than me since our parents first got together when she was 10 and I was 18. Few things in life will humble you like having a 10 year old be 5 inches taller than you when you're 18.

Lulz, Americans are short. Actually, British people seem to be even shorter, and I know quite a few girls around here who are shorter than me, but in Germany I'm definitely below average and anyway, people still want to put me into their pockets.

How short are you then, Pigtails?

I was so happy that the girl I got with at my birthday party was pretty much exactly my height. She was lovely. She didn't want to sit on my lap, though!

5'8"!? Holy crap... Well, my sister's 5'8" now I think. Maybe 5'7." In any case, she's tall. I do feel bad for tall girls here though. I don't know how Dutch women have this problem, but here typically girls that are about 5'9" or taller have trouble getting men, even if they're really pretty. Unless they're super models or something. Our culture obsesses too much with gender roles though, and American men tend to feel emasculated if they're dating a woman taller than they are. But yeah, it's really rare for me to meet someone who is as short as or shorter than I am. I had a couple friends in high school that were the same height or just slightly taller, but since college almost all of my friends have been taller than me.

Cinco de Mayo sounds like a sandwich to me. Makes me hungry.

I have a friend I could let you borrow! Although she's a bit nutty. >.> She's a very sweet person, but her reaction to other females is that of a 14 year old virgin boy whose never seen boobs before. It's actually kind of embarrassing. Every single female friend I've introduced her to, she's fallen head over heels for. And with a couple of them she's become very gropey. Hell, she's too gropey with me sometimes for my comfort level. And that's saying something.

I see eye to eye with most girls, hell out of the 5 girls in my class only one is shorter than I am, 3 are the same height (give or take an inch) and one is a lot taller.
I'm lucky that there are two guys of Chinese origin in my class so I'm not the shortest guy (well, still am... shared with those two).

And I think that the Netherlands is the country with the tallest average height in the world so yeah, I'm tiny with my 5'8".

edit: girls don't have issues getting boyfriends if they're 5'8" here because most guys are taller than that.
And I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend who's taller than me (although I have to admit that it would feel a bit odd) but from what I know women have just as much issues with being taller than their boyfriend as guys have with being smaller than their girlfriend.

You can also get married here, the Dutch government funds and helps organize half the gay pride parades around the world and important politicians are pretty much expected to be part of the gay pride parade in Amsterdam.

We like our gays here.

I was going to type some sort of innuendo here but then I started thinking of whether it would even be possible to adopt you and how weird that would be because you're older than I am.
And would it be incest if you had sex with an adopted child? I think it isn't but it would still be beyond creepy. Oh and I don't know what it is called anymore but isn't there something in our psyche that makes the people you grow up with unattractive in a sexual way?




So.. euh.. yeah.. that's how my mind works all of the time.
