Brisin: It's awesome that you like Irn Bru, I think it's the best drink on the planet, I'm just super pissed that it costs me $35 for 24 cans. I might start a "send Rio Irn Bru" fund.

That sounds solid, for me. I bet it would sell a lot in Brasil.
People there love to mix Vodka with sweet stuff. They usually go with Fanta or Sprite or someting like that. Though I don't go so well with Vodka.

If I'm drinking Vodka in the first place, I usually pair it with Irn Bru. I haven't had vodka since I've been in Canada, I've been drinking rum mostly. I should probably start drinking more Beer, but you can't buy beer or liquor in the supermarkets, and you can't buy beer or liquor in the same store. It's totally stupid.

Sounds pretty stupid, yes.
And I wanted to go to bed, there are younglings having sex in my room. 3 couples, actually. Im gonna give them 30 minutes and if they are not done Im going to join them. haha
Or just call the staff, I don't know.

Brisin, I e-mailed you stuff; if you want a list of beers to try (apart from the obvious local microbrewery stuff wherever you are), give me a shout.

Rio, I found a Tesco that sells Irn Bru cheaper around here. And I'll bring you back to Scotland because it's a mission and having missions is fun, and you're cute and lovely and I want to cuddle you.

Oh, also, Brisin is lovely and interesting and has brought me to take some time in the near future to reevaluate my (lack of a) relationship with a large branch of my family.
And he has amazing eyes! And is cuddly. Awesomely cuddly.

Princess Bride is NOTHING like Princess Diaries. PD is a cute movie, but PB is amazing. Plus carey Elwes (Wesley) is freaking hot. I've had a crush on him since I was 12 and saw Robin Hood: Men in Tights for the first time.

Stupid internet got disabled by Comcast... I got approved for the private loan and am now waiting for it to be dispersed. When that happens I'll be able to pay Comcast and get the internet back on. I REALLY hope that happens before Saturday. My raid group is already going to be missing 2 people. If I can't make it either they'll only have 9, and they'll have to find someone hopefully from the guild, to fill in. I really hate being broke.

Okay, this was weird.

I found out earlier today that they messed up my direct train line to work, which wouldn't be an issue getting there in the afternoon, but getting back home, late tonight, would require an additional hour of transportation. So, unable to cope with having to spend close to four hours of transportation for a five-hour work shift, I decided to call in sick.

Only to find out that someone hadn't registered me for today's shift.

Good thing I decided to call them, or I would've gone there only to find that I had to go back home.

Made me feel less guilty about calling in sick, too! Smiley: grin

Oh! I just remembered this.

Brisin saw a magpie and asked me what that pretty bird was. I always assumed magpies were... everywhere, like pigeons.

They are that... I just thought, they have so many so amazing birds there, magpies can't really compare, to me.

The Western half of the states have them, apparently, primarily in California. But none anywhere else in North/South America (according to wikipedia, at least).

this, pretty much.
I mean, we have a bunch of really cool birds in brasil and everything, but, you know, its a new bird for me. And I love new stuff. Went to Oxford today, spent like 8 hours there.
Took 300 pictures, went inside everywhere, even the Town Hall (they were having some sort of a reunion or something and they threw me out).
I almost got beaten by 2 or 3 college students, because I was just going inside everywhere and taking pictures and stuff, and there was this college that was actually closed and I still went inside to take pictures, and some students were trying to kick me out and just started to run towards me, and I just pretty much ran away.
So, I ended up getting lost and ended up in a pub called The HoneyPot. Took a HobGoblin there and talked to a Chinese, a Welsh, a Scotish and a Irish. Pretty much like that joke 'a scottish, a welsh, an irish and a chinese go to a pub and...' ahaha. Had really a great time.
Actually met the pub where Tolkien used to go, got a pretty good meal there. Salmon with crisp crunch and some potatoes and vegetables. Was really good! And took a local beer, forgot the name though.

Anyway, really great, amazing day. The architechture...amazing! My brother would have loved, because he's an architecht back in brazil, so...

Oh, almost forgot. Kali, thanks again for everything. Your friend just texted me, and I texted back, but I think its quite late right now, so Im just texting her again tomorrow. Thanks for the arrangment, really.

Yes, the architecture is amazing in Oxford. The problem is that you find similar style buildings all over England... so it's good that you're going to Scotland, too! It's different.

Did you have trouble understanding people's accents? :P

And did you go to the Alice in Wonderland sweets shop? I just remembered about that a minute ago.

Well, the accents were pretty diferent, but I could understand quite well. They actually kept saying my english was pretty good. I think they were amazed that a brazilian could speak in english, for some reason.
About the shop, yeah, I saw it, but it was already closed when I got there. So I just took a picture from the outside, unfortunatelly.

Your English is pretty good.

That being said, British people are always impressed by people who speak more than one language because it is so uncommon here!

What's sad is that Americans aren't generally impressed, and so few people that were born here speak more than 1. It irks the hell out of me...

Btw, Kali, I accepted you there in the Facebook. But mine is pretty much all in portuguese, so...

I think I will go to a museum or something today. Probably the Natural History one, I heard its pretty cool.
#5173 Apr 20 2011 at 8:44 AM Rating: Good
I haven't actually been to the Natural History Museum; always wanted to go, though. You should go to Hyde Park and/or Kensington Gardens if you have time still!
