I think it's not really lust, either, not purely anyway. It's the feeling you have when you have a crush on someone.

I could use a little of that NRE right now.

It's not even noon, I'm out of coffee, and my data archiving box just gave me a bluescreen.

#$%&ing disk errors. Smiley: mad

Anyway, back on topic, the furry picture was cool and not as scary as I was afraid it'd be. Smiley: thumbsup

Kali, before you post the story, you should make it a trilogy.

I just bought us another week, but at what cost? AT WHAT COST?!

Yeah that's probably more accurate. Although my crushes don't feel too intense normally, unless I know the person returns the feelings. Unrequited attraction is not worth spending effort on. Plus if they're too dumb to notice how awesome I am, they're not worth dating anyways.

Yeah. I realize it sounds egotistical to say something like that, but I think it's more about having good self esteem and self worth. It's not like I think I'm the sexiest chick on the planet or anything, but I know that I'm pretty awesome.

Yes, it's like a reciprocated crush you feel you can emotionally commit to.

And the story ... I lost the last 10,000 words to backup-fail. And the moth is new. The moth is someone I know, and he knows it.

The story is not furry; people tell me it's like His Dark Materials meets Harry Potter.

Doesn't mean I can't draw fur-art of the characters, though.

I tried my hand on a dragonfly girl last night, it turned into some semi-NSFW thing that looked nothing like a dragonfly and very much like a mix between a fairy and a Mass Effect character. With not very many clothes on.

On a completely unrelated (and far less creepy) note, I got my Haskell hoodie. They gave me £20 gift vouchers, too, so that's awesome.

I'm supposed to believe that you've never gotten your jollies to a Worgen, Horse? I don't believe it.

And wouldn't Draenei kinda be furries, too?

Draenei kinda are, yeah, if you look at the staggering amount of dragon fur out there.

Worgen are just really furry. There's actually quite a bit of Worgen art on FA, including silliness about Worgen on hippogryphs and stuff.

I had a worgen female warrior that had to be deleted as the toon was too obnoxious, between the looks, laugh and animations.

Draenei are aliens.

I can't stand the way female Worgen look--absolutely hate them. I like the male worgen, except for how most helms look on them. Oh, and that obnoxious snort thing (and btw, pretty much every single beta tester I met had also reported that the snort was horribly annoying and should not be included in launch. And I mean that seriously. I didn't meet a single fellow tester that thought it was a nice touch.)

[edited, because right parens are kinda necessary when left ones are involved]

Brisin: If you read this, we're gonna meet my lovely Londoner fashion photographer friend for lunch, as he has that time off; I think we're gonna meet at Piccadilly Circus with him and then go somewhere. I'll be in London around 10 or 11 or so, please text me or call me so I can contact you.

On another note, I've decided to take a leap of faith and collaborate for a prototype for a Kindle-like device you can use as a sketchbook and notepad this summer. Basically an iPad kind of thing with a Mirasol (or equivalent) touchscreen* and built-in drawing/notes saving organiser. This is partly because I want to do digital art with a tablet computer, because I am incapable to keep my notes in order and I know people who have similar (static) things involving SmartBoards (and the code to save them based on a timetable you enter once would be really straightforward), and ultimately I'm thinking of doing some cybernetics-related experiments that will use the same kind of display. And I've access to the things I need to build it. I don't have access to half the technology and expertise I need for the actual project, but I think this one is pretty cool in and of itself, and I think there might even be a market for it, especially once this sort of display becomes mainstream.

*I think right now it's more feasible for us to just take that type of "electronic ink" display and make it a touchscreen ourselves. And more fun! But mostly I don't think we'll have access to the finished product this summer, and I want this to be more than just writing organiser software. If I only wanted to do that, I could just get into Android development.

I don't like female worgens either. There's nothing really bad about them, but nothing really good either. The males look alot cooler and better, although their running on two feet looks kinda funky.

I prefer goblins to worgens though, and their starting zone was alot of fun too.
Best deals anywhere!

The problem with female worgen is that they look 100% like furries. They don't look like werewolves (or wolves at all--more like foxes), and their faces are TOO human.

They freak me out.

I hate how Worgen Druids have to switch to Cat Form to deal damage.

Shred?
Mangle?
Rake?
Rip?
Ferocious Bite?
Savage Roar?

Why shouldn't I be able to do that in Worgen Form as well? Hell, their claws are even longer than those on the Cat. It makes no sense.

I'm guessing it's because their top-hats would fall off if they tried going hand-to-hand in Worgen form.

Ugh, we're barbecuing, and my appetite is pretty much nonexistant. Good for my figure, bad for... well, mostly I just feel like I'm missing out.

Also, I want to make a skirt that's modeled after this. I think the summer is gonna be extremely productive; I just feel kind of sad because we can't actually build two prototypes for the Mirasol devices because the displays alone are ridiculously expensive, and we'll probably have to come up with something really crafty to use them for A5 format or larger because that hasn't been done yet at all (or if it has, there haven't been any press releases, there's barely any information about this stuff available publicly anyway), and we'd probably have to convert it into a touchscreen manually rather than buying a Mirasol touchscreen, and that in turn means that we have to construct even more by hand to ensure hardware compatibility. Eeek!

Also gonna enter the student competition for SC in Seattle next year, I think. I haven't been to the States in ages!

As far as I understand, you need to enter a competition to even get into their competition at the conference, and I would be surprised if we didn't have to go up against MIT and the like. :/
