I play on a laptop and have no mouse. It is honestly the biggest thing that scares me about trying to raid healing.

Keybinds and tab targeting works for tanking but using a track pad to target heals seems daunting to say the least.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out the whole resto layout for dual spec too, without having to rearrange my tanking layout...I may have to learn Clique, heh.

Luckily enough I was resto all throughout BC so the dual spec change over will be pretty welcome to me. I've been thinking of dropping xperl for a different unit frames and picking up grid just clean up the unit frames. Next time I get home I'll post my raiding UI. It's clean except for the raid frames on the left side of the screen.

God bless a 22 inch widescreen for highest res.

Just grab a cheap USB mouse and plug it in!

I will need to find a big book to use as a mouse pad as well, since I play desk free. I think I have some books somewhere...

My hubby plays on a laptop while sitting on the bed, while I play on a desktop on my computer desk.
Sans cat attacks (~..~);; I have to remember not to get snarky when he's moving at a snails pace (especially on collection quests) because not having a mouse certainly hampers ones ability to react quickly.

Just curious, have you thought of setting up at a table (Dinner, Coffee, Bar Counter, Cardboard box, Crate, Companion Cube, etc..) just for raids so you could use a proper mouse? Otherwise flop and be comfy. ^^

I like my sofa position. Plus my place is smallish and I don't really have room for a proper computer station.

Plus the sofa has an end table for my beer. I think I still have a nice hard cover book from school that will work nicely.

I'll work on getting a mouse soonish. Setting it up will be fun, more UI tinkering and macro making.

WTB more macro slots. Maybe the mouse will help, I can dump heals onto the buttons.

healing needs about 6-8 buttons. lifebloom, rejuv, regrowth, swiftmend, wild growth, healing touch and then abolish poison and remove curse. NS you can use separately like i do or macro it into your HT, generally via a modifier button like shift or ctrl so you can use it more on demand (for stuff like roots or wrath....you never know when you need to instantly root some fool in pvp).

10-man healing is easy. 25 is a bit tougher, but not terribly so; generally people have healing assignments so you just have to watch a group or two, or focus on dealing with specific incidents (like being first on the heal for KT's chain freeze or something).

pvp healing is where the real fun is at. sadly, i havent met but maybe two druids who know how to old school pvp heal. arena has ruined the actual real pvp skills of too many by replacing them with this useless "run around pillars" *********

yes im old and cranky and have impossibly high standards.

Quor you have every right to be cranky. I healed s2-24 and loved it as resto. Then they went and made resto the worst pvp healer next to priest.

But on my boomkin I have everything macro'd to my bar and I use the alt:mod.

1 - roots
2 - MF/FF
3 - IS/Typhoon
4 - Wrath
5 - Starfire
6 - Inneverate
7 - Hurricane
8 - Force of Nature
9 - Starfall

Works pretty well and its what allowed me to keep my bars down to one and keep them relatively clean.

I also need to post a UI shot, it seems I'm always on allakhazam when I'm at work so I'm unable to post a UI.

This is my UI. Sometimes I have recount between the minimap and my bars. The top bar also changes accordingly with the form I am (caster, cat, bear, tree or moonkin).
Took this image this sunday, while we were trying the achievment, tought it was pretty funny to be between both IBs.
Sometimes, when we are low on druids, I also have decursive showing, between the chat panel and the raid ui.
At the top left its my "target" and the "target's target". For some reason I was targeting myself, cant remember why.

This one is a litlle older, but I thought it was funny. I was "flying", heh.

This one has some time too, first time we killed KT.

This is the first time my 10 man killed Maly (before my guild managed to kill KT, btw).

Here we have a tricky wolf.

This guy was really mad at me. He chased me even while I was flying!

This one shows roots coming through thin air.

I really laughed @Blizzard with this one and this one. Look at those shadows, lol.

And this I thought it was kinda funny too.

And this is the last one. My old raid UI while I fall through the ground during that Phoenix boss.

Edit. Obviously, I dont know the difference between tough and through. Humpf

I very much so enjoy that ice block placement.

My UI. I like to keep it as simple as possible. Since I have Grid set-up to tell me everything for when I heal, it pretty much does what I need it to for Raid UI. It's perfect.

Oh my god TK dive bombs. I hated that fight so much, good thing Kael'thas made up for every other fight in there.

It's also fun to see some old ZA SS's.

The first time we ever walked into Zuljin's room. Note my sweet mace from prince.

The Burning Bush. Don't ask me why but every time we failed on getting the third timed chest I always felt the urge to stand in that fire and yell about religion.

Here we have a roll off for some cloth item that prince dropped. As you can see Guntur pwnd the hell out of Corneliusbob. Also its a look at my old UI waaaaaaay back in the day.

Edit: Man looking at the last SS I saw my old health and mana pools and wow. I forgot about when 11k mana was huge. I miss the days when lifebloom only cost 171 mana and my incombat mana regen was 360+ oh those days will not be forgotten.

Nice UI's guys.

I think I took a new SS in the last day or so. If not I will snag one tonight.

A nice combat one would be what I'm looking for now.

Also, for some random reason my Recount stopped working. I noticed this rest it and after a trash pack it still said nothing. I posted it into /ra to see if that worked. It didn't.

I did of course tell all the DPS they sucked and 0 DPS was unacceptable though.

If all your DPS did 0.00 you should kick them out of the raid and tell them you've seen level 30's do more DPS. :) I know level 56 Hunter can do a least 100 DPS.

I've had a problem with it not counting quite recently lately (if I log out and log back in it used to work and now it doesn't, sometimes wipes, sometimes it just stops) and I can't quite figure out what's triggering it.

Maybe it's a Druid thing.

Did some, all but KT, of Naxx10 tonight. Came within 20 seconds of the 20 minute spider achievement.

The main point is screen shots.

Loatheb . A boring UI pic.

Maexxna . Mid air web wrap.

Patchwerk. My fave of the bunch.

Here's us downing Maly and me getting my "Champion of the Frozen Wastes" Title. Still haven't fixed my UI all the way.

BTW, what map addon do you use Horse?

Here is a Youtube Video of us one shotting Kel this last weekend finally. >.< This is taken from the viewpoint of one of our Resto Shammies. It was a 10 minute fight, but he sped it up to 3-1/2 minutes. If you look really hard, you can see my fat bare **** running all over the place. I MT'd Kel on this fight.

At the very end, where you see the Adds go spastic all over the place, our DK Offtank took a damage spike and ate it. Our Pally Offtank got Mind Controlled with Chains of Kel. I ended up using Challenging Roar to pull them all to me (Kel was at 4-6%). Popped SI(61k hp :P), Frenzied Regen(Glyphed), Dodge Trinket, and Barkskin. Held them long enough for the DPS to finish off and taddaaaa. :P

Will have a pic up of my newest incarnation of my UI soon.

EDIT: I posted a thread on my guild forums letting everyone know I was open to a Q/A thread for all classes/specs on rotations/gear/specs/etc... since I am bored all day at work I can search for these things. One of our funnier boomkin droods asked me how he can be more uber. (He pushes 3.8-4.2k regularly, up to 5.1k on Thaddius) This was my reply.

Horsemouth, works sucks just as equally for me today as well. It's been busy as hell and I'm getting angry phone calls from customers about undeliverable packages.

Sometimes working for a UPS store isn't all that much fun, being an assistant manager just makes it worse :(

I wish I was busier now, well some stuff just came in, as when its slow in the a.m. it often means I have to stay late.

Luckily the stuff that came in I would have had to do tomorrow which is raid time.

At least I have Friday off. WOOT

Picked up my T7.5 chest to upgrade from T7. Realized I didn't have enough blue gems to activate my Meta. Had to regem. On further inspection I realized I should have used 2 +exp/+stam instead of that green, so have to fix that to get back to the 6.5% exp soft cap.

That's what I get for re-gemming on the fly.

I'll take a SS with my UI fixed tonight for everyone. My bars have been acting funny lately. I use Dominos and it seems that sometimes my action bar that changes when I switch forms gets stuck. It's not a shift/scroll wheel thing either cause I tried that. Even reloadui isn't working. I actually have to relog whenever it does it. Only has happened twice, but both have been in the last week.

Thanks for the Sexymaps. I DL'd it and love it already. So clean.

We're finally clearing 25 Naxx every weekend. I wouldn't say it's on farm, because Thaddius and Kel still sometimes give us problems. It'll get better as some of our lower dps pick up the pace.

Got my shammy to 80 and partially geared. He's heading into Naxx10 tonight to pick up some gear. He's running at around 2k dps average, up to 3.5k on some boss fights.

I'm going to switch my Druid's profession from Skinning to Jewelcrafting. Anyone have any tips on how to powerlevel it? I'm thinking the Jewelcrafter trinket with two +41 gems in it for my stam set and then replacing with Agility if I want for a balanced set. Debating still. Either way, having access to the better gems will help. I'm going to have to get on it and level my mining on my DK to keep up I think.

EDIT: updated sig

Turn a DK into a farm slave.

Has been working all right for me.

Also been having everyone I know hit up the Consortium gem dude in preparation for post 300 leveling when it is all gems.

After his mining becomes useless to me, I am going to change him into a card farmer by doing herbalism and inscription. Putting that Dk to work.

Have him go at least 22 points (?) unholy for the mount speed talent. After that who cares. He is just a farm slave. ;p
