I can kind of see where your mom is coming from. If she has really good credit, and at some point you aren't able to pay for the load, it will be her that's paying your bills. Not that I'm a great person to talk about loaning and not loaning people money; my ex owes my 8 grand I'll probably never see. Another thing, owing family money is never a good situation to be in; I would look for every other alternative before you go through with this.

I'm actually going to college for the second time, some things you might consider: transferring to a community college if you're in your first 2 years of school. They're almost always significantly cheaper per credit hour than a 4-year university. Work-study program. Or you could work part-time and carry fewer credit hours, see what (if any) payment plan the school has for tuition.

I know the feeling, Pigtails. Education is expensive. D: And I'm going to have grad school after I finish this next year. :/

I can't imagine how hard it is to find work in Eugene these days (you were a duck right? I thought I remembered something like that...). You guys are pretty isolated down there. Smiley: frown

Seriously this. Sure beats paying $60 every month or two for a new PS3 game that you get 30 good hours out of.

I've just got an e-mail from college confirming they are likely to just ignore the fact that I need to pay fees.

I also melted the blender, sort of. To the point where it's stopped working, at least.

Yeah, I've explored every other option I can think of and having her co-sign a loan is pretty much my only option. I got denied for financial aid, and work-study is included in that. I could potentially drop back down to just two classes and work 20 hours a week, but that require me finding a job first and who knows if that's going to happen anytime soon.

Provided I do well on the make up final I'm taking and the paper I have to write for the same class (I need a C or better to get credit for my major), I only have four classes left until I can graduate. Two of those I'm taking this term. I really would hate to have to drop out when I'm so close to finishing. I'd rather be in debt to my mom honestly, especially since I already owe her money for various other things. Also, I don't blame her for her attitude about the loan directly, I'm upset about her attitude in regards to my boyfriend. I'd be more understanding if she just flat up didn't want to pay to help him out too. It's that she doesn't want to help because she thinks he's a lazy *** when he's not that bothers me. And it really doesn't make any logical sense because most of our bills are in my name, so if they don't get paid it's going to affect me more than him. The only bill that's in his name is the rent on the house.

Don't really have to worry about escaping into more expensive things in regards to gaming, the only working console I have right now is my PS2 lol. My PS3 is broke, and we had to sell back the Wii to Game Stop a couple months ago to help with finances. I'm doing my best to not continue to escape into other things, I need to get these problems taken care of and I know that. And I'm not much of a drinker or a drug person, so I don't have to worry about that either. :-)

I was too lazy to grind the required amounts for two cakes by hand.

Also, the complete cake:

Batter 1: Sugar, vanilla (real vanilla, too!), a whole stick of butter, egg yolks.
Batter 2: the stuff from the grinder
Batter 3: Basically meringue mix with a bit of salt
Topping: Cherries

Now, these cakes are for a maths/compsci meetup so I was happily making coloured icing to decorate one of them appropriately. I had a pound of roll-out icing. Yeah. Totally not enough.

Since I will be flying to your country in some days, save a bite for me!

Btw, when is your birthday, again? I remember you saying it was around now, correct?

Mmmmm, cake.

I've never actually made a cake from scratch.

But I HAVE made:

Brownies, MANY varieties of cookies, truffles, roasted nuts.

I might make one while you're here, my roommates want some too and I will be taking this cake away with me. So I guess I will bake another one before I meet you. :)

My birthday is this Friday!

I don't think you can come to my place, though. There'll be a lack of kitchen, most probably. :/

Last night we spend 1 and a half hour trying the Elementium Monstrosity. We got him at least 5 times to 200k health and wiped. It seems we are lacking burst dps, because this is a 10 man group where I see every dps doing consistently around 15k damage. More on some bosses, less in other bosses.

We did Halfus (he's on farm) at the start of the night and I saw everybody above 30k dps and 3 dpsers above 35k dps. We just shouldnt be lacking it.
I just don't know what to do anymore.

On a related note, I got Blade of the Witching Hour from Valiona yesterday. Since I have yet to see Magmaw's weapon dropping, I took it since the old one I had was from an Heroic Dungeon.

We usually kill 3 drakes, so he takes a lot more damage in the end of the fight. 300% I think when all 3 dragons are down. My Starfall was doing 30k per star I think. Something like that.

We usually use Heroism to kill the first dragon, burn the other 2 (unles one of the dragons is those little dragons, then we just let splash damage + mushroons kill them) and burn Halfus. We usually take 1 minute or so to actually kill him after we kill all dragons.

So, yeah, 35k is just for this fight that has a +300% damage to the boss for 1 minute or so. The other fights are more around 10k~20k, depending on movement and what not.

I'm finally quitting wow. So much to the point that I've uninstalled it from my laptop, and I'm currently in the process with a friend of mine to sell my account. Once that happens its disappearing from my desktop as well. Here's hoping I can get back about 200-300 bucks for something I've invested well over that much into.

Yeah, DPS on Halfus is super inflated. It's the gimmick fight of the expansion.

My raid group's dps isn't doing 15k each consistently (getting there though) and we managed to get him down after four or five attempts. Are you guys getting the mobs health down evenly in the first and second phases? Because that's the most important part of the fight. If they're off by 1% you should be okay, but anymore than that and EM is going to have too much HP to burn down.

Grats on the dagger upgrade though!

Im pretty sure we got both bosses on first phase below the 25% treshold, since you can keep dpsing them. We can manage the phirst phase pretty well, we got really good at it, just by ignoring those unecessary debuffs. We have 2 melee dps and 3 ranged, and when one of the bosses get around 3% of difference from the other, our hunter just switch to the other, he's really good at it.

Second phase, though, I'm sure that we have both 5% around near each other. Maybe 7% by the end. It's too much freaking things going on for a 10 man group, honestly. Between changing buffs, Eletric arrow thing, running around when the freaking boss teleport, we may get a boss more health than the other. We are placing our 2 melees with the Earth guy and ranged with Air guy with hunter switching around when needed. But since he too has to pick the right buff and might need to run around the hole room, maybe he isn't doing that good of a job on the second phase.

We got the freaking boss 4 times to 200k and just wiped. Argh, it's freaking frustrating, really.
