Well, if you want to induce shenanigans feel free to attempt to persuade me, Aeth. I just couldn't really think of anything myself.

Dave brought my attention to some interesting background facts on Derpy, the new soon-to-be breakdown in the General. Kao brought some of it up in that one thread.

I'm sure Dave can fill us in?

Apparently, I'm too stupid to explain it.

That's why I recognized him right away.

Since the cat is out of the bag - and Derp himself already acknowledged his ban on Wowhead - I suppose there's harm in telling the basic story. I only feel comfortable sharing what's public knowledge over there, though.

He was banned last May for insulting other users who questioned/disagreed with his views - he has several, but I think the Horde / Alliance thing has been the most prominent - and has been circumventing said ban ever since. He's asked for clemency repeatedly, but so every time he makes another account, he just ends up insulting people, anyway.

I'm clinging on to hope that can behave himself well here and not give you guys the trouble that he's been giving Wowhead for the last several months.

I mean he seems to be permanently sub-d already. Not like he's going to be getting anything else.

He's... huh... how DO you explain varus?

For one, he lives in his own little world of revisionist history, where there's also an objective fact to gender roles. He's racist and sexist and hates us evil gays. Republicans can do no wrong, and democrats can do nothing but wrong. If they DID do something wrong, it's somehow the left's fault. He needs to reply to each part of a post with a new post. He uses obnoxious misspelled shortenings of everyone's names. He's horribly unintelligent, and barely legible.

And that's just scratching the surface...

gbaji is the same, but you need to take out the illegibility part. He's just as sexist/racist/intolerant, generally, and just as confused about the world. But he'll try to justify his beliefs on current events by linking studies that don't prove what he's trying to, have nothing to do with the area we are talking about (like the EU instead of the US) and were done 50 years ago. He also makes up just as many statistics.

Oh, and he argues using his definition of words, despite the fact that it is neither the connotative nor denotative the usage of any other human in the world. But will refuse to acknowledge this.

gbaji's never been banned, as far as I know, because (even though he's definitley racist), he's not overt about it in the same way as varus. Varus will, every so often, say something so vile that he gets banned, even though he posted it in the Asylum.

Varus is cute. Back in the days of long forgotten episodes, I got a PM from him, asking me for advice on how to troll successfully.

Of course, I wasn't trolling at the time and he wasn't anyone special, so it kind of died out there, especially after my departure to these forums.

Good times.

Well, not really. I guess you could call them 'good times' in the same way veterans refer to wars as good times.

Edit: Also, I can't believe Derpy would try to go toe-to-toe with Kao.

I've never been around for any of his banned threads. >:(

But some of his normal threads are so vile that I can't even imagine what he posted to get kicked.

My best guess would be that he probably got you confused with Sandinmygum. I can't think of why Varus would get you confused with him, besides you both being gurus, but that's the only thing I can think of.

I feel kind of bad for Derpie, after his comment about how he has no friends irl. He's just too pathetic to be annoying for me. I have to admit though, seeing him go head to head with Kao would be VERY worthy.

Just read that Alliance vs. Horde thread... holy **** that's some funny stuff. I don't feel quite so bad for Derpy now. And him calling Kao, kid was freaking priceless lol.

Me too, I just can't decide which one was funnier. I'm leaning towards the OoT one, for the simple reason that the dude there was purposefully being an *** and using just about every one of the common internet argument memes. I'm kind of sad that Kao muted him though. Poor Derpy is just clueless.
