Rio, I'm normally not all that into metal, but that was awesome. Almost as awesome as that song with the crazy guitar riff.

What was the band's name again? Something like Apothecary or some stuff? Bunch of middle-aged dudes in polo shirts doing some crazy metal. Forgot the name of the band, though. Smiley: frown

Gah, I know the feeling. And my instinct is to always have a balanced army--because that's the way it should work. D: A mixed of ranged, melee, seige, etc. just makes so much sense in my head. But then they role up with 5 of the same unit and somehow take out my 20 units, despite the diversity.

It makes me so angry. >:(

Note--I'm pretty sure I want that balance because I've spent years playing MMO, where that kind of balance is super helpful. But the problem is that SC isn't designed around that--it's designed around a rocks-paper-scissor system, and I just can't wrap my head around that.

Plus, I always prioritize defense first, and I just have no clue what to do.

There's alot of those. I have no idea who Apothecary are, if that's what they're called. Also, to contribute to the RTS discussion, I hate them, for the same reason Maz does. I'm always behind, and it feels like people can build units 10 times faster than I can. I used to play against my friends on C&C Red Alert 2, and get stomped every single time, because they seemed to be able to amass double the amount of units I could in the same amount of time.

Not their name, but that's what came to my mind.

It's that super badass guitar riff some two minutes into the song. You gave me the link in the game back when Gary Moore died and I linked to his Still Got the Blues video.

Necrophagist - Fermented Offal Discharge is what I think you're talking about, I'm not 100% sure though. And that's a solo, not a riff :P, and for anyone that wants to listen to the most beautiful sounding piece of guitar work ever in the history of the universe, it starts at 3:03 and ends at 4:24, but it sounds better when you listen to the whole song.

Riff, solo, whatever. I'm down with the terms, yo.

And yes, that's the one!

One day, you'll make an excellent old man.

On another note, Counter Strike: Source isn't working, and I can't figure out why, and it's making me want to punch a hole straight through my monitor. I run the game, but nothing happens, press CAD, check the process list, HL2.exe is running, but nothings happening. I read that the game wont run at 1920x1080, so I reduce my resolution, still nothing. Tried running it in compatability mode for WinXP, still nothing. I'm out of ideas.

Sucks, cause I was really hoping to get into it. I've been kinda lost without CoD4 Promod.

You're doing it wrong.

The +1 is not strong with this one.

44 pages is right.

And if we're going to be talking epic guitars this needs to be included.

Okay, let's broaden our horizons and just link to amazing solos regardless of instrument.

You've never heard a recorder like this.

Her APM is through the roof around the three-minute mark.

I made my Boomkin OS today. Have most of the gear, still need to reforge/gem/chant though. Also have to set up power auras to track DoTs and adjust the Balance bar tracker I got.

Woot - I got the 75th best Feral DPS on Cho'gall last night on World of Logs :) (Dropped to 80th already!)

Looking forward to next week now I have 2 more epics! I'll probably find out that last night was an RNG event and never see the likes again :)

Logged on my Warlock, did some quests, got camped by a higher level Paladin, logged on my Druid, camped the Paladin while waiting for a heroic, did the heroic, ended up doing 17k DPS on one of the bosses (~14,700 without the LotD buff), logged out and went back to watching YouTube.

I've lost that lovin' feelin'.
