Also on today's lunch menu:

Gai Lan
Bass Pan-fried in a sweet/sour sauce
Chicken and bitter melon in a black bean sauce
Roast duck (only thing we bought from the market but still good)
Almond cookies

I <3 leftovers. New Years should come more often.

Oh and before you ask, yes this needed it's own post. Good food always deserves it's own post. Smiley: nod

Today's dinner menu:

Roadkill. Brb, hitting the highway.

On a serious note, I think I'll do a Quiche Lorraine.

Don't scare me like that. Smiley: tongue

I've known people who've done that. It makes for an awkward moment in conversation.

*disturbed shiver*

Ah, Scots cuisine... "You're Scottish. Fry something!"
#4160 Feb 04 2011 at 5:55 PM Rating: Good
Scottish people also have pickled herring. And onion bhajis.

On a side note, I joined #haskell today, mostly because I had a question (I'm writing an app in Haskell, and the client wants a "Windows-like interface" [read: clicky], while I really cannot be bothered to VM Windows just to compile and debug this one thing, so I was thinking of wrapping the whole thing in some shiny clicky Flash thing so I can test it in Linux to some degree and the last stages of debugging in Windows).
At first it was scary, people talking about maths PhD theses and whatnot, and then it started making more sense, people actually responded to my question in a helpful manner, and the general conversation started making actual sense in places. I'm getting reasonably good at theoretical computer science terminology now, as well, and half of the conversation in there is just about that. it's still kind of scary, but I actually got "palindromes at O(n)" and all that sort of stuff!

There she goes with the geeky stuff again.

Time to go find a picture of some even larger boobies.

That both excites and scares me.

Today on the bus I was reading a PDF and it made me feel like I had butterflies in my stomach. I'm like, really far gone, I think.

Reading on the bus is no fun. Bouncing, potholes, all the wonderful smells; just leads to motion sickness.

Plus I never get a seat anyway. Smiley: rolleyes

I could read even if I was on a ship at sea in stormy weather.

Been there, done that.

Oh, and protip for all you guys: don't google the phrase "huge boobies".

The bus goes from college. It's empty when I get on.

And I used to write half my papers during the commute.

It's too loud for series binging, though.

I can do the crossword puzzle or read while standing on the bus. Sleeping in the am and getting up right before my stop is another skill I've picked up.

I've got mad bus riding skillz.

I just stand in the bus I take to and from school.
Then again, I'm at school in 5 minutes right in time to read the free newspaper I grabbed in the bus and a free (and actually pretty decent) cup of coffee before school starts.

I can sleep and wake up right at my stop. I know half the people on the bus, though, so I prefer not to. Aeroplanes, on the other hand... :3

Watcha going to do that's keeping you AFK for a couple months?
If it wasn't for the "=/" I'd have thought you're going on a holiday but now I'm thinking something worse.

I am in an uncomfortable situation at the moment, but it's nothing too serious. For now, I need to cut back on my WoW-related time to work on a few problems that I'm having right now. I'll still probably lurk the forums once in awhile, but I won't be posting at all for some time. It's safe to say that I'll be back again sometime before my Premium expires, though. Smiley: tongue

Also, if my post worried any of you, please accept my apologies for that. I added the "=/" in there because of my disappointment at the whole situation, but I didn't mean to make anybody think that something bad may have happened to me. What happened sucks, but it's nothing that I can't fix myself. I just need to take some personal responsibility for it—that's all.

If anyone needs to contact me for whatever reason while I'm on my half-assed hiatus—I couldn't think of a better term for it—PM is probably the best way, though I can't guarantee a timely response.
