Nothing quite like a good raw voice singing angrily about something or other.

And I haven't even seen Kill Bill, nor am I tempted to watch it.

Why not? =x It's an awesome pair of movies. I'm not a hardcore Quentin Tarantino fan, but I really like Kill Bill.

Also, I'd recommend AFI. They're my favorite band. You'll probably want to stay away from their December Underground album, as it leans more towards emo rock. Sing the Sorrow and Crash Love are pretty good though for more artistic rock. I say artistic because their lyrics are absolutely gorgeous, especially on StS. If you like punk rock you'll like a lot of their older stuff too. I'm not a big fan of punk rock myself, so I just listen to their newer stuff.

Also rap gets on my nerves. Old school rap is all right, but today's rappers really need to come up with some new material. It gets boring hearing about how many people they capped, how many ******* they've slept with, and how much money they have. Oh, and how drunk/high/whatever they are. The closest I get to listening to rap these days is listening to Linkin Park when they have Mike Shinoda.

Don't do it, Aeth. We might lose you forever if you start listening to that sh*te.

Have you tried Job for a Cowboy? They're not amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but good to listen to if you've got nothing else. Also, Meshuggah are one of the greatest bands to grace the Earth.

There's also stuff like old Chimaira, Mayhem, Children of Bodom, Machine Head, and a whole bunch of other bands that I listen to that I can't remember right now. I don't know if you listen to any of the bands mentioned, but still thought I'd post anyways.

Anything emo sends me into a homicidal rage, and I mean a grab an axe and plow it into the chest of the first person I see kind of homicidal rage.
And what I've seen of Quentin Tarantino it's just mindless violence movies and while I like mindless violence once in a while I want my imagination to be stimulated by what I watch and mindless violence just doesn't do that.

I listen to all but Job Fow A Cowboy and Chimaira in this list, I didn't like either of those when I heard them or they just didn't impress me enough to warrant more listening.
Although I kinda stopped listening to Children Of Bodom since they started making **** instead of music.

I agree with you on the Tarantino movies. Kill Bill still has a good amount of violence in it, but it's also got a good plot and interesting characters, which is why I like it. Plus it has Uma Thurman. That alone should be a selling point.

Only December Underground is anything close to emo music, the rest of the albums I mentioned aren't anywhere close to it.

God damnit, I'm trying hard here :@. The only thing I can think of that I know you won't have heard of is my friends band, not Party Cannon, but Psychoanalysis. They've been going for a while, and in my opinion are the only decent band to come out of Fife for a while.

That's me all out of ideas. Also, I'm now in the position of wanting new music to listen to aswell.

Why do you think I'm having trouble finding new music to listen to? Smiley: lol
Also, I like the song you linked it's pretty good. Definitely a band I'd go to see live if they're nearby (and affordable).

@Pigtails, it's mostly that just about all the more relaxed and calmer music I like is old music.
Almost all new music that isn't metal sounds too polished and fake.

And Rio, what are you looking for? If it's Death Metal then you know more than me but if you want something else I might be able to help.
Edit: Not something you'd ever listen to I think but you should try Crosby, Stills & Nash - Cathedral anyway.
I think you'll be able to appreciate the lyrics and the piano is great, it has the same vibe as the original Sorgen's Kammer at times.
Anyone else who doesn't know that song should check it out too.

As pure Kitty, yes, the SR glyph wins, but as lolferal you also use Mangle while tanking. Quite a lot, actually.

I know that. But 10% damage on a tank doesn't mean a whole lot in terms of rdps.

The whole argument is moot anyway since you can just carry plenty of vanishing powder and replace your glyphs anytime you need to switch from bear to kitty Smiley: tongue

Tarantino's movies aren't just mindless violence. It's artistic violence. In all seriousness, though, Kill Bill is good. Yes, it's corny as hell. Yes, there's a lot of violence in it. It's also a pretty captivating story, to be honest. If nothing else, watch it to experience David Carradine in one of his last, but epic, performances.

And any movie using Ennio Morricone music is win.

Haven't seen it yet. Which makes me sad, since it features pretty much every action hero icon of my time. It's like a big bowl of win with awesomesauce. I don't care how lame the plot is, I need to see Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren in the same movie.

The only thing that can top that is if Allakhazam had a cameo.

And by Allakhazam I mean Chuck Norris.

See, I got 10 minutes into the movie before I turned it off because I just couldn't stand it anymore.

WB Arex! I think it's a lot of fun, but granted I just hit 80 a couple of weeks ago and I don't have anything to compare it to other than the boring *** Arcane mage rotation.

You should approach modern cinema with less assumption of intellectual enlightenment.

I love mindless action comedy, so this movie is right up my alley. That said, I also enjoy more, um, challenging movies. This movie, though, is basically just a homage to the classic action movies of the last two or three decades.

I do, too. I always thought that it was the most commonly used one, but maybe I'm wrong.

I used to have 25 posts per page, but only because I'm used to forums that are 20 posts per page by default (namely, Wowhead and the official forums). 50 seems easier here for me, though now I'm curious to see how 100 will work.

Also, I should really find an excuse to post outside this thread more often. Smiley: oyvey

I'm ok with mindless, what I'm not OK with is action so cheesy that it puts Exodus to shame and so retardedly inaccurate that Almalieque's arguments make sense in comparison.

Depends on your perception of fun. If you think that more buttons to press, less problems in your dps when you are moving, and a small percentage of your brain usage to get the rotation pretty much perfected is fun, then, yes, its fun.

What I can really say is that its better thought out and better implemented. You dont lose eclipse, you dont lose so much dps moving, dots are huge and there`s starsurge now with a little proc (wich I`m pretty sure they will play with it in tiers gears during cata).

Welcome to the world.

On another note...

Night crawls along like some lullaby
Crimson darkness wash your tired eyes
Into the secret house you're thrown
Can you tell or are you on your own
Daughter of sad - I wanna know!
Daughter of sad - I wanna know!
Down on mercury road you go
The blade is in your hand but you don't know
Out of the secret house you're thrown
What are you doing there all alone

Daughter of sad - Speak to me!
Daughter of sad - Speak to me!
Unknown fires took you away
From it's golden grip your body sways
Into the secret house you're thrown
Cannonballs and fireworks down below
