Guess I need to post more in the OOT. Are people still spamming journals and whatnot?

Yeah, TPO is spamming /K/ but only in conversation with others, so it's technically not spam, they're just using it instead of instant messaging.

Ok, time for music talk again!
I'm looking for something new to listen to, I'm open to country, folk, blues, classical, rock, prog, punk and metal or just anything you think is so awesome that I need to listen to it. As long as it's not electronical, I won't like that anyway.

That's how I got the majority of my posts. Except I used the OOT forum for it. Good stuff when four or five people are in a thread at the same time. You can really get a conversation going.

I forgot to mention that my music preferences lean heavily towards darker music with rough edges.
Nothing quite like a good raw voice singing angrily about something or other.

And I haven't even seen Kill Bill, nor am I tempted to watch it.

Well...then forget about what I told you to listen, lol. Neither are rough. Well, maybe some eels music, but I dont think you would like.
Perhaps you will like Sepultura.

Yeah, this makes it tough. I haven't listened to good dark music since the 90s. I'm assuming you played that Johnny Cash remake of the Nine Inch Nails song? Because I just end up linking stuff like this this and this.

Rooooots, bloody rooooooots!

@#%^ me, what the hell happened to music?

Edit: If I want to listen to angry music, I put on our favorite white rapper. He's angry and cool at the same time.

Personally, I dont like Sepultura, but I know a lot that does.
And that sounds angry to me.

A friend here @work that listen to hard rock says that the japanese band B’z, with someone called Tak Matsumoto, is quite good. And the band Lethal, album called “Programmed”. And drian Smith And Project. Never heard of any of them.

I'd be a pretty bad metalhead if I didn't know and like Sepultura. Beneath The Remains is a classic!
@Protein, I've got Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt on CD and I also own the Californiacation album.
The other two bands weren't known to me but they're a bit too poppy for me.

@Mazra, I dunno.. you tell me.

Edit: Also, rap just doesn't do anything for me. I think it just lacks kickass guitars.
Oh yeah, and I have a lot of music and a pretty picky music taste Smiley: lol

That's why I listen to other stuff as well. Every genre has something that fits a certain situation or mood.

Rap fuels my berserker rage. Smiley: sly

Try Carcass if you haven't already. You wouldn't like their older stuff, I imagine, but the stuff just before they broke up is quite good. The only problem with them is they're from England :P

Did you know that the artwork for Carcass' Heartwork album is made by H.R. Giger and part of his works with Swatch watches?
And Micheal Amott's guitar work is always good to hear.

Why is it they labeled this genre of music viking music? They didn't have electric guitars back then. Most viking songs were actually just poems that rhymed. Which, funny enough, leans closer to rap than metal.

Maybe if rappers were rapping about vikings, viking metal is called that because that's the main subject of their music. And while electric guitars are quite far from the instruments the vikings had at least they still use instruments and not some computer to make their music.

I love how even the glyphs support doing this, the prime glyphs all suck for bear. (Mangle/Lacerate aren't awful but is threat really any kind of issue that boosting their damage is important?)
