Finally got enough druids in my guild for a 10 man OS (well, 9 man) last night. It was fun to see all of the Wrath spells being launched. And 5 moonkins with treants....pretty sick!

What's AT?

Some military acronym I don't know, so I explain it like this.

You know that whole "One weekend a month, two weeks a year thing." Well AT is that 2 weeks a year thing.

sounds like national guard work. maybe it means "active time" or something.

anywho, 28 aint so bad, but its exacerbated by the fact that i work with kids. nothing makes you realize your age like playing dodgeball for an hour with 12 year olds and wanting to pass out immediately after. conversely, nothing makes you feel quite as young as beaning said 12 year olds in the face during said dodgeball game.

but mostly it just makes me feel old lol.

Quor, I'm 22 and I babysat my girlfriends nieces who are 3 and 6. After spending 4 hours with them at a park I was ready to go comatose on the couch.

serious.

theres this one girl at the school i work at. shes this tiny little thing with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair, and i made the mistake of telling her i think she has the prettiest eyes (theyre like this dark blue with rivulets of lighter blue running in from the edges, with an almost black center around the pupil). she has the most unique eyes ive ever seen.

BIG mistake, let me tell you. one day at P.E. the coach was absent so the TA and i were kinda in charge of the class. that day was track day, and they had to run about a dozen laps. all the kids were trying to get me to run with them but i was managing to stave them off and send them on their way. then that little blonde girl with the pretty eyes flashed her pretty eyes at me and next thing i know im panting like a dying horse as i round my third lap.

after that day i just got into the habit of staring at her forehead when she was trying to get me to do something. helped me avoid a lot of sore muscles (and inadvertently falling asleep in grad school later that night lol).

Lol Quor.

I can't do distance running anymore. After 3 years of college football where you focus purely on fast twitch muscle enhancement... Yeah, I'm good for about 100 yards. When I work out and want to run I just hit the eliptical machine and pretend I'm running.

I can't understand how kids like running laps, it blows.

I ran for around 2 miles last night. I go really slow.

Ms. Horsemouth is trying to get us on a 3 days a week schedule. So we can stay sexy and all.

My calves are still sore.

I hate running.

I finally got DS, may have mentioned before I forget, and also finally got my gears enchanted and whatnot for said enterprise.

Yes, Galen I am getting all whacky with ArP , aka 'The Dark Side.'

Well I finally got around to hitting the dummies to take it out for a test spin and start working on the rotation. Also wanted to test Rip vs Shred Idol, they were virtually identical for me so I would go what the fight prefers.

I realized I hit Mangle to much as a hold over from my Mangle spam days, especially for Clearcast procs. I probably could work in more FBs and need to work on it. Was doing fairly ok with not overwriting Rip/Rake. Still to used to bear/Mangle spam w/o TF and using every GCD. Need to work on waiting occasionally, to both pool energy and for greater efficiency as well.

Anyway was sustaining, 3 minute tests, over 3k DPS with both Idols. Which is decent. I need more practice I think.

My druid had a good time in ulduar-10 last night first FL dropped Pyrite Infuser all the melee types had it or didnt want it so it went to off spec and i got it, next Razorescale dropped some sweet bootsTreads of the Invader no rogues and i was the only off spec feral druid so to me again, XT was so nice to drop Treacherous Shoulderpads go go being the only feral off spec druid again Smiley: lol Kologarn decided to drop Spire of Withering Dreams after getting the Disarmed achievement and no hunters in the raid so yet again it went to me, and finally for my main spec Auriaya dropped Elemental Focus Stone, so i consider it to have been a pretty good night Smiley: grin.

That's just hawt Gutler....also up to almost 200 armor pen just on gear now Horse.

I'm still rocking that agility though. My rips critting for 2/3rds of a shred during movement fights is incredible. I apparently logged out in my failpvpgear though.

I'm averaging 4-4.2k self buffed on heroic target dummy over a 5 minute cycle. (I typically do 5 minutes since that's how long faerie fire is and I can keep track of it, also I'm noticing a lot of our fights are in that range lately)

We did a sarth3d 10 man zerg the other night just to say we did...I did 6.1k dps and was the one who taunted tenebron off and ran away at the end. :P

1 tank, 1 healer and 8 dps. Good time :P

Utherius (DK tank)
Talthias (Enhance Shaman)
Sadrian (Rogue)
Guran (Rogue)
Uleo (Kitty Drood)
Galenmoon ( MEEEEEeee)
Coolhndmik( DK)
Tbalpha (Arms Warrior)
Lyndria (Pally Healer)
I forget the other dps Dk's name :P

Averaged just over 5k dps per person the whole fight. The Blood dk's were popping hysteria on both myself and the other feral kitty who was just below me at 6k dps.

Anyway, was fun. Took us about an hour and a half to get it down, though we had him below 20% 3/4's of the attempts.

Just had a good night of raiding. Downed all 3 Keepers we have killed in the past tonight. Then managed to get some good tries on Mimi in.

Got me a new hat.

A little late, but AT = Anual Training. The two weeks in the summer when you see just how out of shape and undisciplined the baddies in your Reserve/National Guard unit are. I mean seriously, I was in a hospital unit, our AT was in WISCONSIN, and we had freaking HEAT CASUALTIES. The only good part was watching the 20 or so Canuk reservists do twice as much work as the 150 guys from my unit.

Man, I'm getting all nostalgic and ****. I wish I hadn't hurt my back before I re-uped and went Active Duty.

Former Weekend Warrior, Combat Medic.

Lol Astarin. My guild's disc priest is a Lieutenant of some form for the canadian military. I think he's equivalent to like e7 or something along those lines..

But in wow news.

New pretty UI! Yay for new UI's!

When I get back from work I'll linky linky for you all. That being said I'm gonna need some ideas on wtf I should do with grid, it looks like the red headed step child and doesn't really have a good place atm.

Horse. I just want you to know that I hate you. That headpiece dropped our first night getting all the keepers down. A rogue won it. It hasn't dropped since... :(

I'm still wearing T7 hat :(

course I still <3 the 2pcT7 bonus too though...Meh

Annual training. You Nasty girl nubs :P

I was only national guard long enough to not get pulled back into active from Inactive reserve.

NTC in the damn Mohave Desert...talk about heat casualties... If it wasn't that, it was 20 degrees with 5 degree wind chill in February...

I miss the Army some days.

Thorim and Hodir 10 man hardmodes down.

On another note I hit 7k dps as balance on Cyganosa when I was doing my "kill all heroics in wrath for badges" with my guild.

5 people geared out in t8.5, 4 of them in 10 man hard mode gear. One pally tank, One fury warrior, one disc priest, one mage and myself. 10 heroics in about 2 and a half hours.

Edit: Totally forgot, I broke 3k spell power raiding now.

Arex, what buffs do you prioritize for Hodir? I'm having a lot of trouble pushing past mid 3k DPS (with essentially no useful Boomkin buffs) and I'm not sure if it's a problem with what I'm doing, or if we're just not getting the singed debuff up fast enough.

Easiest way to do Hodir is this.

Put on all that old t7 gear you've got that is just loaded with crit (4 piece anyone?). Put on as much crit gear as you can. In the 25 man I'm at like 30-31% crit.

Make sure you're still hit capped.

When you open up on hodir, get everything out.

Here is where its gonna get complicated.

Find the fire. Hump the fire. Spam Wrath/Starfire.

If beam of awesomeness is in fire's range, stand in beam of awesomeness and spam SF

You want to have a ton of crit to make your singed buffs do a ton more damage. I'll go on a string of wrath crits like 5 or 6 in a row that are hitting for about 30-40k a piece.

Edit: forgot one thing. When I do 10 mans the only ranged are a hunter and myself. So we always stick together and try to get the crit buff on each other if either of us get it. Another thing we do is try to keep the healers near us too so if they get it, we also get it.

Arex, I was looking at your Armory....why so much hit? Is it just "par for the course" with the gear itemization?
#325 Jul 15 2009 at 8:43 AM Rating: Good
I must have been projecting my thoughts really well yesterday, after my random/minor complaint about not getting to tank much anymore cause I don't have gear I got a new ring (BiS) and new gloves (#3 in set).

Kitty ring too.

I'm a happy drood.

Edit: What's feasible for a druid in Uld anyway? I was kind of comparing to our MT Pally just to get a rough idea; he has like 40-42k health buffed, I have 33k unbuffed; he has 27k armor (unbuffed, I think), I have 29k; he has about 46% avoid (also unbuffed, split about 28/17 dodge/parry), I have...38%? Armory is dps gear so can't check.

Obviously I'd have to convince my guildies more than I'd have to convince myself, just not sure what I need before I can reasonably approach them about it and not get laughed at >.>

Chay, when blizzard developed ulduar loot they got together and did a big brain storming session. When this brain storming was going on a giant **** storm of also was happening. Sadly these two storms converged and made a super brain **** storm.

The end product of the destruction was Ulduar gear, and hit rating.

I cannot get rid of it, it's on everything.
