ya, I'm not disc, just in charge of healing anyone who needs it after infest hits. Just would like to hear the DBM warning that infest is about to hit, then look up and see 8/10 people have bubbles on them, then start casting heals on those who don't before infest hits.

As I have it now I have to wait until people take damage before I know who to start healing, and that's no good.

The disc shouldn't be bubbling tanks pre-Infest kills Rapture procing 8 times for a big mana return.

I had no idea that worked like that. I'll be passing the good news along to a priest with mana concerns. Kudos thanks rate ups and stuff.

On another note I need to mess with my grid until it shows who is bubbled. Will help me plan for the infest thingy and what not.

One of the blogs I read (Murloc Parliament) has a lot of Grid-related content. An entry today recommended GridStatusAbsorbsMonitor, a plugin which purports to show not just shield presence, but remaining status for those who care (presumably those who cast them and/or are wearing them).

I haven't set Grid up on my druid because while I've collected an inadequate Resto set through offspec rolls, I spend too much of my WoW time raiding (on my healadin, I definitely have Grid well-customized). Learning a new spec is too much work in my downtime, while I have worked with kitty DPS to the point where it's comforting (in a weird way). Maybe in the downtime after the patch.

I'll have to check it out, since I'm supposed to be doing that kind of stuff or something anyway. Not that Xsarus needs any more blog articles taking up space on his desk... Smiley: wink

How many times have you been there? I only went there once, and I was only 12 at the time. Too bad I don't remember a whole lot of the trip. =/ I only remember going to the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank house.

I spent a year there on an exchange trip. It was a blast.

I think my favorite cultural things were the van gogh museum and the anne frank huis so that's good.

I lived in amsterdam just at the south end of vondel park for 6 months, and then in Abcoude for 6 months.

You forgot the red light district. And Amsterdam is a gorgeous city.

If you want to go cultural, you should visit De Hoge Veluwe and the Kröller Müller museum in that park.
One of the prettiest places in the Netherlands and the museum has quite a few awesome things. (and the old second home of the Kröller Müller family isn't bad either)
Plus you can cycle there for free if I recall correctly.

The Keukenhof is always worth going to see, in spring at least.

One of the things I really miss are the markets, and how easy it is to get anywhere in the city by bike. I still bike, but it's not as nice, and it's a lot harder to do year round.

You can get pretty much anywhere in the country by bike.
And especially in cities it's often the quickest form of transportation as well.

Also Xsarus, if you visit the Netherlands let me know and I shall buy you a beer. Smiley: tongue

I like Euro date style better than USA date style. Its more logical, I think the USA one is month-day from when people would spell stuff before they got lazy, idk.

I hate it when I go some website and see something like 7/8/2010.

Then I don't know what system it is, and I get all confused and irritable until I figure it out, which is never as easy as it should be...

Hey Horse,

Things are getting close so I'm starting to put together the resto stuffs for 4.0.1, if nothing else it could be nice to have them up and out, covering the basics and letting us debate the rest once the patch hits.

So, are you going to be using druidsock again? Or what are you scheming over there?

Can't remember DruidSock's password so will make a new one or something a week or so before 4.0.1, likely going to use the wiki to help make it and start with moar posts. Have it designed be for being at 80 and semi geared. Will rework it when Cata actually comes to add leveling stuff, for the 80-85 push and 1-85.

I. Intro
 a. Hi there.
 b. Brief class history and descriptions.
 c. Generic druid of any spec stuff.
 d. Generic leveling info for the 4.0.1 people who aren't yet 80.
II. Balance
 a. New stuff
 b. Raid build
 c. Stat values
 d. Rotation
 e. Some PvP stuff
III. Feral
 a. New stuff
 b. Raid build
 c. Stat values
 d. Rotation
 e. Some PvP stuff
IV. Resto
 a. New stuff
 b. Raid build
 c. Stat values
 d. Rotation
 e. Some PvP stuff
V. Summary
VI. Appendix
VII. Extra Page

Then just modify the pages a bit to add leveling stuff when that is an actual option. Probably start it next Tuesday as most of the changes should be in by then, most of the math should be stable by then as well.

I'll make a wiki thing nowish.

They're contributors, but not strictly admins. I think they might get a special colour at some point, but the system isn't in place yet.

I gots spells, glyphs, and talents penciled in over here, and I'll work on putting them into your framework in the next day or two. I wasn't going to venture a 'build' for a bit given the way things are, and how blizz will likely keep tinkering for a while after the patch goes live. Hopefully they are done changing things too much though. I'll keep everything aimed at 80.

Ya, something like we can hang out with them, but aren't allowed to touch anything just now. Which is probably for the best; given that I have an exploding flask for a forum avatar, a certain 'way' with technology, and there's all sorts of space age weapons and shiny buttons to press. Plus there are way too many uninhabited atolls in the world these days, don't you think? Smiley: tongue

Edit: and cool, I had no idea we were even listed anywhere... Smiley: lol

Thanks for the explanation. :)

I was going to ask something about why this process seems to be more complicated than I thought it would be, but I'm too tired to word it into something that makes sense. So … I guess I should go to sleep now. Adios, folks.
