Looking at my log from our 25man on Sunday night/Monday morning. My assignment was "roll HoTs on tanks, and help out elsewhere when possible." I still did 76% of my healing with RJ/WG. But really they've done their part to make RJ overpowered in this expansion. It is kinda sad you can often do more healing by blindly tossing RJ on everyone then by spending time planning your heals.

I'd have to say even in 10s those two spells are around 70% of my healing. Though at least there I'll feel the need to push other buttons, as I have to tank heal some. Then again I look at a disc priest doing 70%+ of their healing with bubbles, or a FoL pally, or a chain-healing shammy *shrugs*. We're really not the only one that could use a few more attractive tools I suppose.

Or maybe if more people end up doing 10 mans in Cata then everyone wont get pigeon-holed into a role where you just spam your *best* spell. Smiley: rolleyes

I think I might slow down this week. Last week I did ICC 10 & 25 on my Druid, Hunter, Mage, Priest & Shaman. They also all did VOA 10 & 25 and the weekly raid. On top of that my DK and Lock also did a VOA.

It was a good week in the guild main ICC10 run though. We one-shot every boss on hard mode up to Sindragosa (except one hiccup on Princes) then we downed Sindragosa Hardmode for the first time and did the achievement (30 stacks of the disease) on Lich King. This week we'll do the achievement on Sindragosa and all get our Drakes!

Kali, I'm stuck in northern Zealand for the next week or so. Babysitting cats and a house, with no money and no transportation. Smiley: frown

In other news, I've got an appointment at the dentist tomorrow. They're probably going to pull out a wisdom tooth. Looking forward to having a needle in my mouth. Smiley: boozing

Well, it's quite expensive to get to Sjælland in the first place and as it is now, I'm just about to buy a new computer for 8200DKK or something so I'll have like... 600 left for the next week. :S

I can get buy on less than $100 a week if need and 600DKK is the same.

Smokes must be cheap ones. Food is PBnJ, ramen, vegetables, and stuff from work, always helps to work restaurant for this. The plan allows for you to still drink good decent beer. Some of the beer budget can be diverted to food but that is not recommended.

The more you know

I'm on holiday, I need to buy postcards and stuff.

[ETA: Actually, I think food and such is about twice as expensive here anyway.]

Something for Maz, too: I'm like totally learning Danish now for the lulz. Not like, learning enough to say anything. I can write "Jeg keder mig", and sometimes I can kind of say it but the soft D's are killing me.

Everyone wants that I say "rød brød med fløde" but I don't want to. :(

Black bread with cream? Why?

Edit: Oh, the soft D. Helps if I read the entire post Smiley: schooled

The soft D is ****** up. It's somewhere between a D, an L and a TH, I think. It's weird.

ALSO Danish money is cool because 1kr, 2kr and 5kr (I think?) have a hole in the middle so you can just wear them as a necklace. :D

Also when I get my computer it will have Å Æ Ø keys. <3

And I saw the bones of some Viking king today.

'Rødgrød' (red berry pudding), not 'rød brød' (red bread). It's a national joke we like to play on foreigners, because 'rødgrød med fløde' contains 'ØD' which is pretty difficult for people to pronounce properly (basically you have to sound like you're vomiting).

I was wondering what the cream had to do with black bread, (before I noticed that it was a phonetics hazing); was just going to chalk it up as a crazy Danish thing. But red berry pudding makes a lot more sense.

Edit: Dutch != Danish. Don't hurt me Maz.

My friend is laughing at my attempts to say "rød". I'm really trying. He says I'm saying it without the D.

That is totally a lie! I'm saying like 20,000 D's.

Now I'm supposed to say "fem flade flødeboller på et fladt flødebollefad". I'm getting unhappy here.

I bought a book about Odin, though.

And I totally love the Norse mythology. It's a little ****** up, what with all the incest and such going around, but what ancient religion isn't?

They all have badass sounding names too.

Disclaimer: This is actually surprisingly enjoyable. Just frustrating, too. I wanna get the hard stuff out of the way first because that's how I usually do it.

Soft D's are hard to get right. Even with years of practice, it's pretty easy to tell when someone's not a native Dane. Unfortunately, this also means that Danes have a hard time getting the accent right in other languages as well. A lot of it also depends on whether or not that person has an ear for language as well, of course.

For instance, Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale) has a pretty thick Danish accent to his English, whereas Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (New Amsterdam) doesn't.

I'm getting better at it, though.

I'm just annoyed that I can't get an exam out of this. Especially now that I know I got an A in my Dutch exam after half a year of learning.

And you're quite sure you can't come to Fyn before Tuesday night? Would be awesome, you know.

I'm here till Tuesday, so whatever. I think I've got nothing planned apart from touring Fyn on Saturday and a lot of LANing which can be done at any time, really. Also, if you have a portable computer, maybe we can do that, too.

Also, are you actually from Sjælland or do you just live there?

Born and raised sjællænder.

Anyone west of Sjælland calls it the Devil Island, because we're supposedly mean and stuff. In reality, they're just envious.

They probably call it the devil island because you use those ae things. They're clearly demon runes.

I have been told Fyn is the real Denmark while Sjælland is pretty much Sweden, Jylland is weird and Sønderjylland is German.

Fyn is the island people rush through to get to either Sjælland or Jylland. There's nothing "real" about it, it's small enough to be artificial even. Sjælland is home of the capital (which was placed there because it was the old center of the Danish kingdom). Southern Sweden has been Danish longer than it's been Swedish anyway.

I gots me 4t10 now. The Mrs thinks the armor is hideous. Actually the last couple of weeks I've made out like a bandit. Gone from having seven 232 pieces to have one. Happy times.

I'm also apparently turning 30 or something this weekend. I think that means I'm old, I'm not too sure though. If anyone asks I'll just say I stopped paying attention at 21, and everything after that is a blur. Because that sounds about right... Smiley: tongue

I've got my notebook!

And Maz, I feel kind of stupid for only seeing Fyn (apart from the bit of driving through Jylland for a bit) but I can't change that now. It's nice, anyway. I'll probably be back in WoW tonight and setting up my UI. Gamecards are outrageously expensive in Denmark, by the way.

Oh, and GZ Protein! :D

Yeah, that's because our taxes are low... oh wait, no it isn't.
