I don't know if you would call it fun, but this bored druid stopped doing pug heroics, respecced to pick up a few tanking talents, and started soloing TBC heroics for faction and green drops for my enchanter to DE for auction fodder. Last night I grabbed a guildie and we dived into ZG. Said guildie had to leave after a few bosses so I decided to get the Gahzranka fishing achievement and now that is one less Profession achievement I have to worry about. *grin*

I've managed to get a number of factions to exalted so far, but I still need to finish off Honor Hold and Keepers of Time. That is if boredom doesn't drive me mad before then.

Got a fun PuG for our raid last night. Nice guy and all, but couldn't get vent to work and so I ended up using in-game voice chat to talk to him. Which left the rest of the raid wondering wtf was going on, since it sounded to them like I was talking to myself for like 5 minutes.

I'd also say something about how we got 3k DPS out of him, and what not. But my guess is that Aethien could have much more fun deconstructing him then I ever could. Smiley: tongue

Because, as much as I sympathize with twinks and how Blizzard ruined your game to not ruin it for millions of others, those twinks can just go die in a fire.

I just do arenas and my toon is on a wrath capped account so its exp stopped. As for the people who do bg at 70 on bc capped accounts they go up against everyone in the 70-79 backets so they're not really picking on lowbies. But come cata they're making bgs region wide so I'll be able to do bgs on my pally again but it will be up against only 70's. This is blizzards way of pleasing the twinks and keeping them out of the other bgs.

I've been playing more and more on my pally because im so freaking bored with wrath right now that all i really want to do is either arenas on my twink, bgs/arena on my dk or just farm for gold for cata.

Which btw, if you want to make some pretty decent cash I have 2 awesome things that sell very well on high pop servers.

Essence of Air from the air elementals in northwest Silithus. Prices range from 20 gold low end to about 45 gold top end. Takes about an hour to farm up anywhere between 50-100. They're used in the 15 agi enchant so people rolling new toons with boa daggers love me supplying them.

Isle of quel danas and adamantite/khorium ore. I sold 30 stacks of adamantite for 89 gold a stack. One run around the island is about a stack. Khorium sells for about 15-30 gold an ore on my server as well. It takes a little longer to move the product but it does the trick.

His MM build (I'm assuming that is what he used?) makes me cry.
Endurance instead of IAotH, no GftT, no Silencing Shot, no Focused Aim, Imp. HM (Well.. that at least had a use), imp. Arcane, Concussive barrage, effeciency, no imp. Tracking, no Survival Instincts and he picked up TSA.
T10 legs, the hit trinket from emblems and a PvP trinket.
No glove, chest, cloak or bracer enchants, 15 agi and 50 AP on his weapon, 55 stam/22 agi on his legs.
21 crit rating/+3% crit damage meta and so many bad gems ranging from strength/stam to AP/crit and with so many variation that he seems to only want to use a type of gem once.

I think what I would have done is ask him if he knows what Go for the Throat does.
Then either explain it to him if he says no or ask him if he understands it/why he didn't take one point if he says yes.
That 1 point is more dps than any point except for Chimera Shot/Bestial Wrath/Explosive Shot. (I might miss one or two here but I'm pretty sure that's it.)
If I can explain to people that that one point provides 3-400 dps they listen to the rest of what I have to say. If they don't it's a hopeless cause and I give up trying to teach them anything.

Ya, he wasn't really the type of person who knows what stuff does.

That being said, he was pretty good at following directions and not standing in stuff, and didn't impair our progress to any degree (so he exceeded my expectations for PuGs on my server). I could see him listening if our hunter sat down and had a chit chat with him. So there's always hope. Smiley: wink

If he listens to advice then getting him to fix up his mistakes is generally pretty easy.

Either I was doing something wrong or you're incredibly lucky. I only got about 1 essence every 10-20 mobs when I needed them for agi enchants for yet another heirloom.

scrap both the 41 and 33%, 41% are mobs that are only up during an invasion, 33% aren't close together and thus not efficient to farm.
The mobs that you can farm show as 29% droprate but from what I did on grinding there it really feels much more like 10% and they're still too far apart to do any sort of AoE grinding on them.

Also, where did my post fail?

edit: From the Wowhead comments:
"Note that WoWHead doesn't know how to record a drop of "nothing". I would say about 50% of the drops of these mobs are nothing, meaning that their chance to drop Essence of Air is significantly lower than that listed."

You said you were posting lyrics and a youtube link, your post contains neither.

And wtf @ "drop of nothing" spaghetti math.

You have total number of drops by total number of kills. Not dropping it is implicitly included in that.

I'm not sure on the accuracy of the statement, but I think the poster tried to say that if you kill it and nothing drops the kill isn't reported/logged because you don't loot the mob or something.

Also, my post contains both a link and the lyrics of the song linked.

It took me about 20 minutes to get the 16 I needed for 4 +15 Agility Enchants, so I don't know why some of you guys are having such bad luck. And that's a pretty decent song Aeth. Also:
