DRW had its duration reducedFollow

New PTR build went up. DRW had its duration reduced.

As taken from mm-champion.com

Class Changes
Blood

* Dancing Rune Weapon now lasts 5 sec plus 1 sec per 10 runic power. (Down from 10 sec plus 1 sec per 5 runic power)

Glyph Changes
Death Knight

* Glyph of Dancing Rune Weapon -- Increases the duration of Dancing Rune Weapon by 5 sec. (Down from 10 sec)


I think that DRW needed some adjusting, but this recent change went a little too far. Hopefully, Blood DPS won't suffer much.

From what I hear from PTR testers, Blood DpS is way higher than the other two.

I just wish they were nerfing Death Strike a little, to make up for it, instead of the RP Dump.

DRW right now, you get 20secs with 100 RP correct?

Now, with the new glyph 15secs (Or 18 with 130 RP due to Runic Mastery in Frost Tree) every 1.5mins. Yes the damage is reduced but you get up 30-36 Secs of DRW over the same 3min period. So is a passive buff. Sadly the dmg loss may be felt as you can stack Hysteria only once per 3mins.

No, they nerfed the duration that made DRW so good on PTR.

It used to be 10 secs plus 1 sec per every 5 RP. Now it's down to 5 secs plus 1 for every 10 RP.

It effectively hits like a NERFâ„¢ bat now (you know, those soft foam bats you had as a kid), with the 50% reduction in damage.

Even with the glyph, and RPM, you can only possibly have DRW up for 24 secs (5 base + 9 from RP + 10 from glyph).

Compared to the 22 you can get on live (without RPM), it's not that much of a buff unless you can pop it twice against a boss (it's actually a pretty huge nerf if you can't).

That you also HAVE to glyph it to get that kind of duration (14 secs without glyph isn't much, that's not even a full rotation) doesn't really say much.
