Sample DPS charts for 3.1 PTR RealmFollow

#1 Mar 21 2009 at 4:38 PM Rating: Decent
Hey everyone! I don't believe this has been posted yet, and this is not my work, just something that was sent to me by a friend. I figured this would be a good discussion generator with patch 3.1 on the horizon. Deatailed analysis is given of the gear, talents, and abilities that were used during the raid. Take a look and it looks like the Honor amoung thieves build is generating good numbers. Here is the site

So HAT is doing the most DPS in PTR, followed by mutilate? Was this done with the envenom glyph or not? Still HAT is highly variable depending on raid crit.
If not mutilate is still looking like my choice in 3.1.

If they don't do anything else to ***** up rogue pve come release day, I'm going to be trying out the hat build. I have calamity's grasp and webbed death and would love to try an alternative to combat or mut.

Judging by the parse, the ability priority goes something like this. (Instant/deadly no idea which on which weapon, probably IP on the slow one? If it's too close to 100% proc rate, IP on fast weapon to maximise envenom buff)

SnD up
5 stack deadly + 5 cp = Envenom, timing around keeping envenom buff up as much as possible
1-3 stack deadly + 5 cp = Rupture
1-3 Stack deadly + 5 cp + rupture up = Eviscerate
1-3 cp = Hemorrhage
Trade tricks with another rogue

It might seem like random button pressing, but it'd be more engaging than envenom priority and a hell of a lot more interesting than combat.

The gear overview confuses me though. It's got no scale to it, so it's just a bunch of labeled bars without so much as an X axis.

If I'm not mistaken, fast/fast is better for HaT for poison procs. So pre 3.1 weapons, use Webbed Death or Sinister Revenge.

Yeah I was talking about 3.1, since it's ptr dps charts that are being analyzed.
