Interesting find on WoWInsider's "The Daily Quest"

A new tanking blog has popped up by Etaiu called "Etaiu's Leatherbelly Tank Blog" and he introduces The "Flying Bear" Maneuver (Video)

which shows a technique that will be available to Druids in 3.1. Essentially you can use a series of macros to start in cat form, then use Cat Feral Charge to leap towards your opponent, shift to Bear form midleap and drop a 360 degree Swipe immediately upon landing. Not only do you avoid having to spend 5 Rage you don't have on Bear Feral Charge, but you'll have enough rage to open up with a Swipe from shifting midleap.

..awesome. :3

Sorta like a reversed version of the DKs flying pigs. Wonder if it will share the same fate.

I don't have maxed Furor so this wont always work for me but damn it is cool.

I think I could actually pull this off, unlike the RAWR bomb I have yet to master.

I always like doing the "Kitty Paratrooper": Dropping out of FF and stealthing before hitting the ground. As long as the mobs aren't ranged/caster they won't target you while off the ground. You just have to make sure to not take fall damage to break the stealth.

I took a look at that and found it pretty interesting.

I went with this after seeing it:

#showtooltip
/cast Feral Charge - Cat
/cast [modifier:shift] !Dire Bear Form
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

It allows for one macro of cat charge to work like normal when I want it to, and it allows it to work in the context shown in the OP.

The difference I guess is that doing it this way means I just have to use my normal bear swipe macro once I'm on target.
